Negative Visit with Dr. Couret
I had an appointment with Dr. Ivette A. Couret on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the Greenbriar location, and I’m incredibly disappointed with the experience.I have a history of recurrent UTIs, and after being on antibiotics on and off for the past two years, the medication has disrupted my vaginal microbiome. I sought out a urologist for additional medical advice, hoping to find a doctor who could help me with preventative care and a more comprehensive understanding of my condition. Unfortunately, Dr. Couret fell short of my expectations.When I asked Dr. Couret if there were any tests available beyond traditional vaginal testing to assess the dominance of certain microbes in the vaginal microbiome, her response was dismissive. She claimed there were no such tests, which was surprising given that a simple Google search showed otherwise. Without any medical background, I found that doctors can indeed test for imbalances in the vaginal microbiome. This information is readily available,

Dr. Couret is knowledgeable & reliable every year
Dr. Couret delivered both of my daughters by C-section. They are now 10 and 13 years old. I have been seeing Dr. Couret for my annual visits ever since. She is always thorough in her exams and patient with all of my questions.

Straightforward doctor
Overall very knowledgeable doctor but could improve in sociability and making you feel valued and heard as a patient. She delivered my baby and became my doctor by default (how the practice is run) but we never had an established relationship beforehand which made for an awkward doctor patient relationship.

Dr Couret is wonderful!
I don’t love going to the doctor. But when the doctor is Dr Couret, I go happily. She is remarkably warm, caring, knowledgeable, and human. She knows who I am, she listens to my concerns, she knows her discipline. I recommend her to all.

Great Experience!
My former ob/gyn retired and I missed an annual appointment. I dreaded having to find a new doctor and the whole getting to know you routine. Dr. Couret and staff made the experience smooth and seamless and really seem to care about creating a good experience for the patient. So much so that I recommended Dr. Couret to two neighbors who are looking for a new ob/gyn.

I am never concerned about my visits to Dr. Couret. She makes me feel completely at ease and I know that she is very knowledgeable about any of my health issues. I was a patient of another Dr. at this practice for many, many years and was concerned about a new doctor, my fears were unfounded, Dr. Couret is the best in my opinion.

Dr. Couret is wonderful. She has an incredible bedside manner which is comforting. She is extremely knowledgeable and is able to provide you information about any issues you may have in a very simple way. I highly recommend her. In fact, my daughter has reached the age whereby she should begin to see a gynecologist and I can't imagine anyone more perfect to handle a first appointment with a young lady than Dr. Couret.

Dr. Couret did an amazing job!! She saw my wife multiple times leading up to our delivery day, which was unexpected as we had scheduled it for the following week. It was super helpful that she also speaks Spanish and she always answered all of our questions. If we have a second child we will defintely be going back to Capital Womens Care in Chantilly and hopefully with Dr Couret.

Dr Couret was excellent. First time that I ever had a comfortable GYN appointment. She treated me with respect, having me come to her office in my street clothes to discuss my medical history, concers and get to know one another before performing exam. The exam was performed professionally and with care.

She was the backup for our OB on call to deliver our baby. From the moment she returned my call when I left a message she already had an attitude. I followed the prompt for the after hours voicemail with my name, DOB, and due date. And the moment she called her attitude was "why didn't I say in my message I was going into labor?" Seriously? Why would I call at night and leave a message? Then when she met me at the hospital, it was constant attitude, she seemed irritated that I wasn't ready to give birth immediately. She just didn't want to be there. When I was having contractions, she left and didn't come in until the last 30 minutes. Overall she was not pleasant to be around, just had a negative personality. She really doesn't like her job.
