Thrilled to be his patient. A definite “win” for me! Easy to get an appointment and never disappointed with the service I receive!

Dr. Furtado is calm, caring, and will go the extra mile to help his patients. He is approachable and explains the results of the tests, cause for concern, and future plan to identify the specific issue and provides information on that specific issue and treatment plan. His nurse is absolutely wonderful too!

Dr. Furtado has been my primary care physician since I moved to Nashville more than three years ago. He has always listened to my concerns and I feel that he has given me the best possible care. He is not your (sadly) typical 'assembly line' physician only concerned with finishing each patient visit as quickly as possible, but takes the time to listen and follows up with issues that he has discovered. He is an excellent model for a primary care physician.

Dr Furtado is very nice and polite but we cannot go to his office again due to one of his staff members wearing a heavy perfume that gives my husband a massive migraine- and aggravates his asthma --This is the first time we have come across heavy perfume use in a medical setting at St. Thomas Hospital and felt compelled to say something-other medical facilities, like Vanderbilt have policy's on heavy perfumes , Cologne , Scentsmedschool.Vanderbilt.eduVUMC policy manualI hope this can be resolved for the sake of other patients .Please note The CDC has been following a fragrance free policy as part of its “indoor environmental policy“ since 2009 . Policy states “fragrance is not appropriate for a professional work environment , And the use of some products with fragrance may be detrimental to the health of workers with chemical, sensitivities, allergies, asthma, and chronic headache/migraines.”Also refer to “invisibledisabilities.org

He was relaxed and not rushed. He listened carefully and asked pertinent questions.

He answered questions, and was very knowledgeable.

Took his time and was very thorough. By the time I left I was happy to choose Dr Furtado as my Famile Dr.

His worker was very nice and friendly . They made you feel good about everything

Dr Furtado always talked the time to listen to and address your concerns. He has excellent bedside manners and is very personable and easy to talk to. We've never felt rushed or not listened to.

Dr Furtado is a great doctor he listens to you and helps any way he can he is not one of these doctors that looks at the computer the whole time when you come in he actually makes eye contact with you and talks to you and listens to you and helps you

I liked Dr. Furtado. I am very unhappy with the office staff because they WOULD NOT return my phone calls, contact my pharmacy for refills, or let me speak to my doctor's nurse. I called several times and each time was put on hold for twenty to thirty minutes. The only way I was able to get someone was through the office scheduler who took a message three times to no avail.

First visit after my long time Dr. retired. Dr. Furtado took sufficient time and interest. All questions were addressed. Very pleased.
