The best GI
I highly recommend Dr Bassan. I cannot thank him enough and say enough wonderful things about him. When I first went to him over 2 decades ago, my health was in shambles with refractory Crohn's disease and I could barely fit into a size 00. Dr Bassan provided me with hope when I thought Crohn's was going to take my life. Being that Dr Bassan is involved in research, it provided me with options I so disparately needed to survive. He is extremely intelligent, always up to date on the latest treatments and is an expert at his craft. I would not be here today, treating patients as a physician myself, if it were not for his care. He has treated my parents, extended family members and even grandparents and has saved several of their lives too. I dread the day he would retire. I can say without a doubt that he is the most gifted GI I have ever encountered. I am forever grateful.

My 92 year old mother waited for nearly a month for an appointment. The day before, they call and tell her they do not accept her Insurance. They also could not tell me how much to pay out of pocket. She has Medicare and UnitedHealthcare (listed above on the list of accepted insurances by the way). She has Medicare and United Healthcare ( South Bell plan from my retired father). Now we have to find another doctor and she is in pain due to a hernia. This is unprofessional and unconscionable.

Was rude and condescending to my Dad. We went to him as a last resort and he basically made fun of his symptoms as they were unusual. I was hoping that my father did not notice as we mostly spoke in English and although my father speaks English, in his older age he comprehends more of the conversation if it's in Spanish. Once we left the my Dad revealed that he was very aware that he made fun of him and was rude to me. It broke my heart as my Dad is a kind gentleman. He was deeply hurt. No star

Once they charge the invoice the patient treatment is horrible. I call 3 times in 2 weeks without response, After having a procedure, endoscopy and colonoscopy removing polips , and having painful stomach ache, They do not call back, or giving me any information about pain or polips analysis. Just worried about invoicing and recommending expensive test. Going to his office to ask for my medical information and move to a professional.

Will not go back! On first visit saw the NP and was told to wait to see the doctor but the doctor was busy and after waiting for a long time was not able to see him but was scheduled for a colonoscopy nonetheless. On preparation day, I was called by the office to cancel the scheduled procedure because they did not get the authorization on time. The procedure cancellation was done after being on a liquid diet for most of the day!
