Dr. Barley himself is a nice person...for the most part. My doctor sent me to him on referral for a colonoscopy. First off, to get an appointment with him is a process. There is no way to contact this office except by phone, in which you cannot leave voice messages and the receptionists only answer between a select couple hours during the day. They do not use an online portal, which is standard with all doctors in the US. When I finally got an appointment for a consultation, I was directed to come 30 minutes early; the doctor was running 30 minutes late. I saw him berate one of the receptionists because she couldn't find information for him. He was polite to me in office and during my colonoscopy procedure. There was NO follow-up with the results after they did a biopsy. Even when calling the office they gave a total run-around. The receptionists can be pretty much Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde with patients; there is no telling what you'll get on a particular day. Do not use this doctor.

I had a very bad experience with Roxane, the receptionist. She made my husband wait in his car in 95 degree weather even though he was vaccinated, wore a mask and was able to sit socially distant in the waiting room She never asked for proof of vaccination even though I told her I would bring it when I came in and I did. An elderly couple came in after us and were allowed to sit there. My husband is my caregiver. We protested because she was discriminating against us. I understand that they have a policy but she could have asked the doctor who we could see was in his office to ask if she could make an exception She as no compassion for the elderly.I had requested a phone appointment but she would not change it even though I had 2 previous phone appointments. She never asked the DR. She answered right away. The Dr.saw me for 3 minutes. I told him I was feeling fine. then he said I should come back in 3 months. Why couldn't he say that over the phone?

waited over an hour for him to see me. he was very dismissive when he finally walked in. Didn't diagnose me until the 3rd visit and lied on the transcripts I requested. didn't give me results of tests he had ordered, he said doctors only give results that they consider important and if I didn't like it to find another doctor. his nurse and the desk ladies gave me a bunch of samples of linzes in a brown bag and sent me home with an appointment to come back in a month. I will never go back to him.

Never have gone to Dr. Bartley for this procedure. I have had a few of them in the past. He was great. Talked to him briefly before the procedure (colonoscopy) I was under enough to not feel anything but still can hear him talk to me.
