Dr. Irfan Idrees, MD

I saw him when my original doctor was not able to get me in and he was outstanding. He got me in right away and knew exactly what needed to be done and took away all the pain I was in with the prescriptions he order and blood work he ordered made me feel like I was in the best care. I am changing over to make him my New Full time doctor. He is excellent!

Professional, friendly, experienced, listens and genuinely cares about the patient. He asks relevant questions to determine a good diagnosis. Never have had a complaint about this tremendous physicians abilities, suggestions, sincerity or results.

So much to love about Dr. Idrees. Most of all, I believe he cares. Everything else is secondary. He diagnosed my son's heart murmur that had been missed by MANY MANY doctors, and arranged quickly for additional testing to ensure it was nothing to be concerned about. He skips all the "dumb" stuff, and does the nursing stuff himself. What I mean is he takes weight when it's relevant, he takes blood pressure himself, he takes blood samples himself. He does it while talking to you in a comfortable conversational tone. I find it much less stressful. And his Purcellville Virginia Medical Center is open 7 days a week and allows for walk ins. This does mean that sometimes he's very busy but most of the time it's not much of a wait, honestly. And it's easy to walk in - see a crowd, and go run errands and come back an hour later and not wait! Can't beat that. He sees my mom, and my kids, and me! He's great with all ages and has a wonderful bedside manner. I also like his PA/NPs.

I am a recently retired Anesthesiologist/Critical Care physician visiting family newly settled in Purcellville. I attended as a walk-in at the urgent care center Sunday morning March 27th. Dr Idrees gave me a friendly greeting as he passed me on my way to register in the waiting area, and was kind, attentive and very thorough when he assessed me a short while later. I was impressed that he was able to make notes of my current symptoms and past medical history almost without breaking eye contact. His screening for general health risk factors was excellent and physical examination entirely appropriate to my condition. His prescribing was exactly as I would have wished, even in terms of minimising cost. He struck me as very competent, practical and reassuring. I recommend him without hesitation.

I went to visit Dr. Idrees after having severe chest congestion for weeks. I had gone to other doctors and none of them seemed to be able to give me the correct antibiotics. Finally, Dr. Idrees was very thorough with me and prescribed antibiotics that actually worked. He was friendly and professional. I will definitely go back.

Incredibly rude staff. Their front desk receptionists speak to you like you're an idiot and do not hesitate to hang up the phone on you. While this already put a bad taste in my mouth, my appointment with Dr. Idrees was hardly any better. He is a prescription pusher and will say / prescribe you anything he can to get you out the door as fast as humanly possible. At first, I thought maybe he was just having a busy day and it was a one-time deal. Nope. I had a telehealth appointment with him and he barely even let me speak or ask my questions. I told him one thing about my current prescription I noticed and he immediately told me he was sending a new prescription for me to the pharmacy. He interrupted me every time I tried to get a full sentence out and I left the call feeling confused and upset. This place needs to stop overbooking this doctor so he has more than 30 seconds to spare with each patient. Would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Very detailed and gets to the root of issues. Before COVID was officially know, he kept me off a ventilator by his treatment. He is a really good Dr.

Dr. Idrees has taken care of every member of my family. He takes the time to listen and explains things clearly. I highly recommend him.

I have just started seeing Dr. Idress as my primary care physician. As a physician (M.D.) myself I am in a unique position to evaluate his care. He is knowledgeable, organized and caring.

I've seen this Dr. more than 10 years, i'm super happy ! He is very friendly, high knowledge, and good personality.

Before Dr Idrees I hadn't had a general doctor in years due to bad experiences. I've now been going to Dr Idrees for over a year and he's great!! He really listens to his patients and helps you find the best options. I'm an athlete and he's been great at finding that right medications for me to manage my ADHD and anxiety w/o hindering my performance. The staff is all very friendly as well and they make it easy to make an appointment asap.

A truly excellent family doctor. My family has used him for all our aches and pains for over eight years. Dr. Idrees truly cares about his patients. Every time we visit he makes us feel like we are his sole concern. His expertise is exceptional, as well. For example, when I was experiencing a wide variety of unconnected symptoms, he recognized immediately what was going on. To confirm the diagnosis, he sent me to specialists who only took 6 weeks to come to the same conclusion.

Dr. Idrees is an amazing doctor. He takes his time with his paitents and actually listens to what you are saying. He is not a doctor to be rich, he is a doctor to help people... My mother never found a doctor she liked until she met Dr. Idrees. She absolutely loved him.
