Dr. Ioannis Kehagias-Athanassopu, MD

I am 84. Dr Kehagias’s diagnosis of my allergic reaction to statins gave me almost instant leg pain relief. He keeps me fine tuned and enjoying getting older. I salute his medical skills.

Dr K is a great Dr., Im the fourth generation to be born in Middletown. If you don’t mind waiting an 45 mins - 1hr to see him. You sit, and sit, and sit in a room until finally the Dr enters. Not good. I’m an attorney and I would never let my client wait longer than 10 mins. Fix your scheduling. It’s a shame.

I had my annual physical. He thoroughly went over all my lab work and explained everything to me.

The most knowledgeable, caring physician I have ever had in 60 years. He takes time to talk to you. He is a most highly accredited physician. He has been my doctor for 17 years.

Dr. Kahagas was very thorough in detecting my husband's limes disease. After we were told by another clinic that he did not have limes and to come back on 3 months. Furthermore, the doctor diagnosed my husband's lung cancer. We would not have known of his condition until it was too late. Doctor Kahagas is an excellent Physician we would highly recommend.

Very knowledgeable and caring. Help patients find the right specialist for thei particular medical problems. Communicates through patient portal in a timely manner. Office is open on every other Saturday . Has great office hours to accommodate his patients. Stays up to date on current trends, procedures, journals, medications and etc. Attends various conferences to help his patients. Has state of the art equipment.

Called to ask if they were excepting new patients and was told yes but Dr. Kehagias was not taking patients till November. I said ok, I’m not calling to make an appointment just to ask if you were excepting new patients. I then asked “ if I was sick, your saying I couldn’t get an appointment until November?” She said yes. Wow! Today is July 26th, pretty sure 3+ mos. is too long for anyone to wait when they aren’t feeling well. Very disappointing.

I've written many positive reviews of Dr. K through the years,but he dumped me when I needed him the most.I was with him from practically day 1 and referred several patients to him.Last year my daughter lay dying of cancer,and Dr K was the doc on call at Christiana Hospital.He called my husband and I with a bit of hope like he could somehow use his connections to help.WRONG.he cut down my anxiety med instead and dismissed me without even looking at me.Kathy,his wife,nurse and staff are excellent

I made an appt for my 92 yr old dad as a follow up for a 4 day hospital stay at 2:45. We arrived at 2:25. At 3:25 we were told the appointment was 3:45 (not according to my calendar entry). At 3:45 the last person to come in was called back before my dad. Very poor service!!! Time to find a new doctor. No one arrives 105 minutes early for an app. EVER!!!

Dr. Kehagias is very thorough, especially when it comes to blood analysis. He uses a lab in Boston to analyze blood samples; they provide a very detailed analysis. Also, Dr. K. is very personable with an excellent bedside manner.

Whomever is saying this man knows what he's doing doesn't know much. He was rude to my wife, and instead of saying he didn't know made up things. When I got to a good doctor my problem was easily taken care of quickly.
