Good Experience
I had a good experience with Dr. Alsakaf when I did ECT (electroconvulsive therapy.) The staff that worked there made me feel comfortable and that they had my best interest at heart. “Dr. A” (as everyone called him) was always there to listen to my concerns about my treatment, symptoms and issues I was having in my life. He was very kind and soft spoken. I recommend him.

Abrasive & Rushed
Dr. Alsakaf doesn't appear to take their patient's well-being very seriously. This became especially apparent when Dr. Alsakaf filled in for my usual provider to perform Electroconvulsive Therapy. Dr. Alsakaf was not interested in my personal comfortability with the procedure, communicated in a trite and abrasive manner, and I experienced significant negative side-effects following the procedure which were not present when being treated by my usual provider.

Amazing Psychiatrist
Dr. Alsakaf is the most amazing psychiatrist that I have ever seen. He is kind, compassionate and extremely intelligent. He spends his time really getting to know you as a patient and his knowledge of psychiatric disorders is phenomenal. I always feel treated with respect!

Dr. A spent very little time talking to me when I stayed at CHI. He also told me “I’m sorry for wasting your time.” He didn’t go over my diagnosis with me or the medications they were feeding me. He did not take any of concerns as a patient to account. There was no empathy and no holistic care. He viewed me as a degenerate, instead. I was at a very vulnerable moment of my life and I just needed help. After leaving the hospital, I felt nothing but confusion from this doctor. I would not recommend him to any friends or family.

Dr Alsakaf has a way of making you feel that when you are expressing your feelings, your feelings are the central focal point of his concern. I feel valued and I feel like he cares enough about making me better that he won't stop trying to figure out a solution.
