Dr Rice is fine but office is TERRIBLE
Dr Rice is fine but the office is completely disorganized, inefficient and disrespectful. They have no regard for patient time or frustration. I had a horrible experience here.

Dr. Rice and his team were fantastic! I'd been struggling with hip pain for a year before going to see Dr. Rice and found out I had a torn labrum. From the front desk staff to the clinical staff, everyone was informative, patient, and kind. I felt like Dr. Rice was patient explaining all my options and understood I was hoping for a more holistic approach. He didn't push for surgery, but I determined it was the best course of action for me and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Thank you to all!

Dr. Rice was an awesome doctor!! My son completely shattered his ACL and Dr. Rice got him in quickly and performed the surgery so well. He was very good with my teenage son, impressing upon him, each visit, the importance of a consistent and strong commitment to doing his PT exercises. He explained everything very well--and is just a super smart and talented surgeon. I'd definitely go to him, or have my other kids go to him if ever needed!

Dr Rice was the catalyst for pulling me out of a major depression, and helping me take my life back. After sitting on an ACL tear for about a year, Dr Rice performed reconstructive surgery on my left knee. The Dr, his staff, and my physical therapists were always on the same page with my progress, and were always available to help me any time I needed it. Having never had a major surgery prior to this, I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and bedside manner of Dr Rice and his staff. 10 / 10 would recommend!

Dr. Rice and his team were consistently AWESOME along my entire journey of ACL reconstruction. Dr. Rice gave me a very sturdy, new ACL and I'm back to living a completely normal, active life several months after surgery. The office staff was always friendly and getting appointments was easy. His assistants were caring and extremely helpful. The physical therapy team was amazing and in close contact with Dr. Rice about my progress. I knew I was in great hands the entire time and everyone truly cared about my recovery.

Five out of six of our family of athletes have seen Dr. Rice. His ability to explain and treat as well as his bedside manners make him one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the area. He is the only surgeon we recommend. He is an excellent doctor.

I tore my meniscus and was eager to begin the recovery process. Dr. Rice and his staff worked with me to quickly diagnose my condition, review and thoroughly explain my options, and ultimately perform meniscus repair surgery within 48 hours of my initial visit. I started physical therapy within 1 week from the initial visit, and consider myself 95% recovered 3 months after the initial visit. I'm extremely happy with the results due to Dr. Rice's willingness to work on my timing, his skill as a surgeon, and his recovery procedures. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Rice and his team.

I lived in pain for 6 months before I sought out medical treatment. I was blessed and so extremely fortunate to be referred to Dr. Rice. At my first visit, Dr. Rice was extremely informative regarding my torn hip labrum and FAI injury. He explained all options of treatment and recovery time should I elect for surgery. He made sure that I understood the importance of taking care of myself post-op and not trying to rush back into the gym. After having my surgery in January of 2019, I completed all physical therapy and was given a green light to return to an active lifestyle in July. I cannot begin to describe how fortunate I was to have Dr. Rice involved in my treatment & recovery! His staff is top notch and everyone was readily available any time I called! 9 months later - still 100% pain free!! Thank you Dr. Rice!!!!!

After an ER visit, treating physician referred me to Ian Rice, MD, for shoulder pain. Despite initial testing did not reveal musculoskeletal issues, Dr. Rice continued to assist me in diagnosis. After my sixth visit, Dr. Rice referred me to my oncologist. Without Dr. Rice’s highly empathetic approach, I may have delayed life-critical care. Through his caring approach to help me relieve my pain, he left me in a better position. I highly recommend Dr. Rice for you and your family’s care.

I saw Dr. Rice for hip arthroscopy, which typically has a 4-6 month rehab period. I credit his excellent skills and follow-up care to the fact that I was done in 3, with almost no pain felt during the entire process. He's also one of the few surgeons I've met who never appears rushed at appointment time, and sits down to engage in conversation, hearing everything you have to say. Dr. Rice, his assistant David, and the rest of his staff are very personable and accommodating.

My care isn’t quiet finished as K have my follow up appointment then figuring out PT. However, I will comment on the care I’ve received so far. Dr. Ian Rice, M.D. has been great. Very professional, straightforward and attentive to my needs and concerns. He spent extra time making sure my surgery was perfect. Unlike another reviewer, I found David Ahouse to also be very professional and kind. He’s been there every time I’ve needed to call with a question, he’s very detailed in his responses.

I saw Dr. Rice for hip labral tear and FAI impingement repair. The entire process of learning about my injury, treatment options, surgery and recovery was clearly explained by Dr. Rice and his staff. Each step was fully described, with additional information available on his website. I felt I could trust Dr. Rice and followed his recovery protocol in it’s entirety. As a result, I have fully recovered and am able to resume all the activities I choose to.

Dr Rice was EXCELLENT with my daughter. Thoroughly explained options available to us, both surgical and no surgical and what expectations we should have with either treatment plan. I fee like we were able to make an informed decision about her care and i will recommend him to other athletes with injuries.

Dr. Ian Rice is a excellent doctor. However David Ahouse the assistant is just horrible, i feel violated and disgusted from care I received from him, David is not a certified medical assistant, meaning he has no formal medical training or state testing to be classified as certified(CMA), yet he is performing medical procedures and performing them incorrectly and unsanitary. He is danger and liability. I feel so bad that the great Dr Ian Rice has to work with such incompetentcy.
