Saved my wife’s life About 35 years ago
When we came for surgery, my wife was at deaths door suffering from ulcerative colitis. Only weighing about 105 lbs after spending 30 days in the hospital. We came to the Cleveland Clinic in 1988 and Dr Lavery performed an eight hour J Pouch surgery successfully! We just celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary and have two beautiful children. Thank you!

Dr. Lavery saved my life. When I have regular endoscopes performed to check on my J pouch, several doctors have commented that his work was the most precise that they have ever seen. I cannot thank him enough nor fault him for his consummate professionalism.

3 surgery's prior to going to see Dr. Lavery. He asked if I just couldn't live with the bleeding and discomfort, I told him no. Surgery was performed drained tube put in. Within a few days it felt like someone stab me with a knife and drain tube was gone, went back to him immediately, no physical exam, he say all is good after several check ups was released. One week later started bleeding again. Waited awhile to see if it was a fluke. Scheduled for surgery 5 to have broken drain tube removed
