Best sports medicine physician in area
Dr. Duncan treated me for a fractured forearm that required surgical intervention. I was quickly set up with an appointment and surgery. This quick turnaround led to a fantastic outcome with optimal outcomes. As a sports medicine professional we refer several athletes to him each year, and for our area he is our first choice. He understands athletic injuries and his expertise is top notch. I also referred several family members to him with outstanding results.

Great Surgeon
Friendly staff from the beginning of the visit to the end of visit. Once with Dr Duncan, he explained in detail about my torn ACL and options on how to fix it that best suited my lifestyle. He was very kind and answered all my questions very well. Working in the medical field myself I read reviews and despite the few negative ones I read about Dr Duncan, I had a very different and wonderful experience. I would highly recommend him to everyone in need of an orthopedic surgeon. I am extremely thankful we have a great orthopedic surgeon in Visalia!

Hip replacements
I had my first hip replacement in 2015 and my second hip replacement in 2021. Dr Duncan did both. He was great explaining to me what he was going to do which calmed my nerves. He is a wonderful Dr and I would recommend him for your replacements.

Not relatable or interested in patient
Went for a consult with my son 2021 for his shoulder. We had the MRI in hand at the time. Dr Duncan appeared to be very uninterested in listening to the patient explain his condition. He reviewed the MRI and blurted out a few things then turned a said he has a slab 8 tear of his labrum. Immediately recommended surgery and wanted us to set it up. He seemed annoyed with having to spend the little time he spent with us so I didn’t say much. My son scheduled for surgery but was uneasy with how he was treated. As soon as we left the building I explained to my young college student that he did not have to have the surgery by someone who we both felt was uninterested in helping him. We canceled the surgery and got a second opinion. The tear was not a slap 8 tear and my son had surgery by a great Dr in Fresno and recovered well. I have worked in the medical field for 33 years. Thank God for instinct.

Best orthopedic doctor
I had seen countless doctors over a 15 year span, none besides Dr. Duncan could pinpoint the cause of my discomfort. He’s so thorough and explained everything along the way. He ultimately performed surgery, after all else failed, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Worth the one hour drive I was making from Fresno.

Very kind, detailed oriented, great staff.
Very Professional group, my surgery and recovery went well, and as Dr mentioned physical therapy after surgery will determine the success of the procedure. I followed his instructions the best I could and my outcomes were better than I expected. I’m grateful for his skills and my outcome.

I saw Dr. Duncan for an elbow injury that was preventing me from performing everyday activities as well as leisure pursuits. Completely expecting surgery, I was pleasantly surprised to have my elbow pain and weakness solved through non-surgical procedures. I avoided surgery and am now completely pain free. Definitely recommend.
