Shoulder surgery
I’ve been patient of Dr. Nawas since 2012. He performed surgery on my left shoulder in 2012 and most recently my right shoulder in November 2024. He performed the surgery as promised and answers questions readily. His staff is kind and helpful.

Hip replacement surgery
Dr. Nawas did my hip replacement surgery and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. He and his staff make themselves available for anything that comes up and are super friendly and professional. I highly recommend them.

Hip surgery
Dr Nawas performed surgery on my left hip in October 2023. He had to completely reconstruct my hip labrum. The surgery ended up being pretty extensive. Dr Nawas has a gentle & caring nature. He explained everything well. I will eventually have to do other hip & I will definitely be returning to him.

Great Doctor
My daughter has been treated by Dr. Nawas for several years now and has performed two surgeries on her knee. He knows what he’s doing and is really good with the patient. I would recommend him for sure. In fact, I am a St. Luke’s patient but if I need knee surgery I’ll definitely go to Mercy to be treated by Dr. Nawas.

I had rotator cuff surgery in April. Dr. Nawas did the surgery and now 7 months later my right shoulder feels in better shape than before the surgery/Injury. Dr. Nawas is an excellent surgeon and always takes the time in the office to discuss questions. I'll be playing tennis again soon thanks to Dr. Nawas!

Misdiagnosed a serious spinal problem as hip bursitis. Recommended two SI injections that did nothing but line his colleague's pockets. Do not recommend this "doctor."

Dr. Nawas had to take over my care after my precious dr moved to Colorado, at first I was apprehensive about anyone touching my knee but he fixed my knee. Now he is dealing with my hip and I know he will have the right course of action to get back to my normal self again, he always reminds me to trust the process and it always gets better. Thank you Dr. Nawas for treating me like a human and not just a problem.

Dr. Nawas is great. He has worked on both my shoulder, which is doing great, and my knee. I'm having a little trouble with my knee still but I think that's because I twisted it again a week after surgery. I trust him completely. In fact my wife has seen him for her knee and we even took my daughter to see him. I've had knee problems all my life and he has been the best Ortho Dr. I've seen. Would recommend him to anyone.

very friendly and did a great job repairing a completely torn bicep ligament that was over 6 weeks beyond the 3-4 weeks recommended to have it done for a successful result. Dr. Nawas was on vacation when the MRI results came but called on a Sunday to explain the results and let me know he wanted to schedule the procedure the first day on his return if possible. I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED!

Do not go to this doctor! I put my faith and trust in him and he ruined my knee for life. I am disabled because of this doctor. He did five surgeries on me and each time saying this one would fix me. I'm now a patient at Mayo Clinic and am beyond repair. Please please do not go to this doctor! He should loose his license to practice medicine.

Would not recommend! At first seems like he is concerned but them will not return calls. Is inappropriate in surgeries taking pictures to boast about success but there is questionable success.

Had a referral to see Dr. Nawas. First appt set 1 month out from first call. RESCHEDULED 4 times by his office. On the last call I fired him. Unless he has the healing power of God I'll find another Doctor. Inconsiderate.
