Dr. Husam Mourtada, MD

I sat in his office for over an hour. When he and his assistant entered the room, there was no apology. When I mentioned the time I had been sitting there he gave an arrogant apology. He has a horrible bedside manner. He doesn't seem to care about his patients. I won't be returning.

I had a comprehensive appointment with my doctor, who showed genuine interest not only in my current health concerns but also in those I had previously discussed months ago.

I have seen a lot of bad doctors in my life and Dr. Mourtada has to be the worst out of all of them. wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

He listened to my symptoms, did an exam & treated me with injection. told me to call back in 1 week & let him know if I had less pain. Received a return call & made an appointment for epidural.

He had made up his mind before he come into the room. He never ask me one question about how I had gotten to the state I was in. He really did not care. I am a very intense and complicated case and he just did not want to mess with me. He told me he didn’t have the resources to take me on as a patient, all I really needed was someone to write my pain meds that I have been taking for years with no problem. I was not looking for him to cure me, just keep me as comfortable as possible. I was lucky enough to have a family doctor that when out of his way to find a pain doctor that would help!! He sent me to Carolina Pain Center in Shelby NC everyone there was great, friendly and very caring.

Would not prescribe the pain medication that I have been on for years. The medication that he did prescribe was either too expensive or didn’t work.

He could tell I was in a lot of pain and gave me a few options. I will be going back to see him and I hope he can help me ease the pain. He has a job to do and he don't fool with druggies and he can tell if you are faking it.

Dr. Mourtada has terrible bedside manners and did not listen to my concerns. I have lived with for multiple pan issues for many years. I have been thru 8 surgeries and 100's of physical therapy sessions, and various out-patient procedures. I related to Dr. Mourtada that I suffer from arthrofibrosis and he replied to me that he never heard of this particular medical condition! He left the exam room in a hurried manner telling me that he could not help me. I could give further details regarding this unfortunate experience, but for personal reasons, I choose not to.

Horrible bedside manor. Incredibly rude, interrupts patients and refuses to listen to them. He will NOT help you with pain management.

Ethically speaking, Dr. Mourtada has medically treated me with legitimate prudence, as I believe he has with all his patients seeking pain management. He is very professional in what he does, thus I know his bedside manner cannot be as most family doctors (GPs) are known to be, while treating their patients. His Specialty requires a certain degree of separation. Because of the dangers of prescribing narcotic medication, Dr. Mourtada does not and will not cross the ethical boundaries that he has set for his patients under his care. His commitment to that constitutes a more firm approach with his patients that he should not be called upon to ever yield from.

Dr. Mourtada is great! He listens to me and answers my questions.

I was actually a bit concerned about the negative reviews of Dr. Mourtada prior to my first appointment for a spine injection. No worries needed! I found him to be very pleasant, he answered all my questions and was very professional. I will return to him, happily.

All he wanted to do what is rehab I don't need rehab it is past that point

So far my visit with the doctor was good he has recommended me to get other test and I will come back to sleep I am satisfied with my doctor

Dr. Mourtada and his nurse were extremely caring and did an amazing job with my injection. It was quite easy, actually. Everything was explained well throughout my visit and I felt they were vrrycaring and that I was in good hands. Highly recommend treatment here.

I was a patient for 4 1/2 years I took many random drug screens which were all negative for any other drugs besides my prescribed medication. I was terminated for an inconclusive drug screen and argued that inconclusive does not mean positive This has destroyed my chances with other pain doctors when they see this record. Now,2 years later I am still negatively affected. My urine should have been re-tested instead I was assumed guilty without question-even almost 5 yr history of clean urine.

DON'T DO IT.. I went for 1st appointment, could barely walk Mom and Grandmother that has dementia were with... he asked ? the were none of his business and demanded answers .. when he asked relevant ? he would interrupt me.and acted irritated .so couldn't give urine sample because of meds I was on reduced peeing and told me to sit in waiting room until I could give one.. I explained about Gmother..HE DID NOT CARE and would not reschedule... he is arrogant jerk who must not know about dementia

Did not like from jump start. His personality was flat and I've worked around Dr's all my life. I know a Dr that has no personality. He act like he was scared to touch me. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. He was more interested in talking about MRI's and injections in joints. At my age, I'm not doing no injections in joints when you have Arthritis all over. I told him he is a joke. I meant every word of that! His person that came in the room was flat. No patients in office a all.

Do NOT come to Dr. Mourtada shopping for a quick fix, such as pain meds and other controlled substances. He will do what is best and most appropriate for you given the circumstances. Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, all words that describe him aptly.

He is a wonderful and kind person. I can't believe anyone would have anything bad to say about him.
