No one like him
We first met Hugh as a family coming to a new town in 1994. We wanted a local sole proprietor practitioner and although some told us “Hugh may be retiring soon” he agreed to take us on as new patients. Fast forward 30 years and I helped clean out Hugh’s office as he officially closed his practice in December of 2024. Ironically my wife and I chose to leave Woodstock to move to Saint Paul to be close to our daughter and daughter in law and their newly arrived son Luka. Hugh called me this morning, March 22, 2025 to check in. “I had it on my calendar to call you” he said. There is no one like Hugh in my world. He was and is so much more than my doc. But I am not alone in that estimation I’m sure. I treasure the man dearly and value his friendship and all the wisdom he has shared throughout these many years

A physician and a FRIEND
Hugh is as thorough as human can be and perhaps more. Before we moved away, he had taken excellent care of us both for over 25 years. None better.

Dr. Hermann has been my primary physician and advisor for more than 50 years. I have been 100% delighted with his knowledge, sensitivity, and care of my difficult body. That should say it all.

If you're over 50, this is the small town doc portrayed on television by Hollywood. Dr. Hermann was my physician for 40 years until I retired to S Carolina. You won't find a better listener or a more compassionate and experienced doctor. His ongoing affiliation with Dartmouth Hitchcock and the best specialists in New England are a huge plus.
