He is the worst doctor I've ever had. I had him for years. He always made me feel bad about myself, like I was making things up in my head, condescending, wouldn't listen. He once took me off a psych med because he didn't think I needed it. Psych doctor told me it was dangerous and he shouldn't have done that. Once I was in the hospital for a couple weeks, neurologist had me on pain meds, Shulman told nurses to take me off for faking. When I told the neurologist, he was seething mad and stormed out to print him several pages of information about the serious neurological disease I have and how much pain I'm in, told him to study more about the disease and not to mess with his patient's meds ever again, right in front of everyone. I'd tell him my issues and he would always blame it on weight, smirk, or roll his eyes. When I finally found a new doctor, they actually did tests and sent me to specialists, that whole time I had a debilitating autoimmune disease. Glad I'm rid of him.

Doesn't Listen to a Word You Say
Dr. Schulman doesn't look you in the eye when he speaks to you, he just stares at a computer screen. When he asks you questions he may hear your answer but he doesn't listen, he hears what he wants to and records what he wants to in his portal notes. Example, if there is something you haven't done in 5 years he will write down 8 years. Also, he told me I have to provide a note from a study saying I don't have a certain condition, but in the notes he put that he told me that all I have to do is provide proof of being treated. He never told me that, I wouldn't have been as upset. His lack of interest and lack of communication skills is absolutely unacceptable for someone in his profession. He either needs to be disciplined or he needs to be removed. I'm sure he's not a bad doctor and that he knows what he's talking about, but if he doesn't listen and can't communicate, and doesn't record his own notes accurately, it could lead to a potentially dangerous outcome down the line.

Nice guy but doesn't listen
No sense of personal connection at all. I always feel he's reading questions from a "how to" list and not particularly listening to the answers. Gets snippy when questioned. If you're healthy with no major problems, I'm sure he's great, but for weird things I'd say find a different doc.

Most here complain. His education is a fact. He's highly intelligent. He's not ya typical Dr which some do not like. I do. He's not a pill pusher. Tells the truth and will do what's best for you in an unconventional way but gets the job done

He is a disgrace to the medical profession. His only interest is booking appointments and getting paid. He lacks any compassion or sensitivity. He outwardly is disinterested in listening to patients never mind providing the best treatment. At times he is condescending and insulting. . He is not worth the time it is taking to write this review. I only hope it helps people seeking a primary care physician know he is NOT the one you would want treating you.

I've never left a visit without feeling dismissed and insulted. He seems bored when speaking with me and often changes the subject before I've finished answering a question. I think the doctor is competent, but his people skills are severely lacking.

The Doctor is fine, his office staff and assistant are deplorable. If your hearing impaired don't waste your time, they will not text or email I have all but begged and they do not do reminder calls, text or email.

I read these reviews prior to being a patient of Dr.Schulman, and I believe most people leave negative reviews because receiving good service is normal & doesn’t trigger wanting to leave a review. I gained the highest respect for Dr.Schulman within couple visits because he seemed attentive, caring, interested in doing right by me. He brings his laptop in & does his research for meds with you & discusses, asks questions concerning new meds (I like that)... He called me on several occasions too!

expected me to know what kind of medication I needed and then brought out a book of medications for which illnesses, right in front of me?! I don't think that's professional at all.. and every time I called no one answered and wouldn't call me back for days.
