Horrible Doctor and aggressively rude Staff
Dr. Mintz is very unprofessional doctor. You have to listen while he’s typing the report on you. If you miss something, you cannot ask him a question. He will tell you to read the report. Dr. Mintz’s staff act like elementary school kids. No one know what’s going on and very argumentative. They sent me to have blood work done and did not send the required paperwork over. I had to leave the laboratory and drive back to Dr. Mintz office. There they told me the request was out into their office assistant. I canceled an appointment and, Two days later Susan called and confirmed the cancellation. However, a day later another staff member called asking me the same question. I paid my balance each of the two visits I had with this office. Only to receive a cancellation bill from when I showed up late to my appointment. They were aggressively rude and ignorant towards me as well that day. His nurse called asking asking, what I wanted her to do with my allergy shot that was received a month ago

As far as his tech knowledge/skill I give a grade of "A-"for the actual doctor. I was a patient for over two years and his support staff is where I had my problems. She was short, curt, and very defensive when questioned about anything including and especially regarding prescriptions ! She had "forgotten" to re-up certain scripts on more than a couple of occasions, was non-apologetic about it, and had an entirely WRONG attitude ! She seemed to always have "the perfect excuse" that exonerated HER in all ways ! This happened MORE than once and from my POV, substantially more often than reasonable or tolerable ! Returning phone calls promptly (and a few times "at all") was a repeated problem for his staff as well. I ended up changing doctors because of her !

Has moved to McKinney and a new corporate practice
everything about this practice has changed with the move. The staff is untrained and unhelpful, the portal does not allow easy access to Dr and he is more remote than ever.

Rude receptionist; doctor nice but...
The front desk receptionist lacks social skills. She is condescending and exudes self-importance. The nurse performing my tests was very nice though. The staff still plays COVID theater, while the doctor roams the office WITHOUT a mask. The doctor is nice, but spent more time asking me questions about my medical history (the stuff patients usually answer themselves when filling out forms) than doing "doctor work". Thankfully, I didn't have a serious problem, but I left with the impression I had just gone through a drive-thru and paid for his weekend holiday.

Very efficient and to the point. I love the fact he gives you a copy of everything he said. In one visit he diagnosed part of my problem and gave steps to correct. The diagnosis and steps worked! He ordered a necessary test and found an issue my primary care doc had never even looked into. Both my husband and I are very pleased with his care and would highly recommend him.

Not all needed information was given prior to appointment. Office staff very rude, office polices and procedures are time consuming. Appointment is buffered by 45 mins, this is not communicated.

I recommend Dr. Mintz to everyone that I know --- he is kind, professional, thorough, and leaves no question unanswered. He and his team always make an effort to find an appointment time that fits my schedule, and will always call when there is a cancellation. I really appreciate that I never feel rushed during an appointment, and that he is discerning between what a patient NEEDS and what would be a (usually very expensive) nice to have. Fantastic experience.

Dr. Mintz has been my doctor for over 15 years. Anybidy you stay with that long must be good at what he does. Very informative, thorough, caring. Does not run a bunch of tests just to cover himself. Has kept my asthma and other allergy /breathing / sinus issues in check. Highly recommend!

The assistant couldn't read very simple medication I wrote, and had attitude about it. The other comment about listening is correct. I tried to explain why I was there when asked in the best way I could and when I got to the second sentence explaining what I think is happening, again as experience, he cut me off and said something to the effect of... If you're going to diagnose this, I'll go swimming. No thanks. I know there's another issue and he did not diagnose it.

very efficient and thorough, reminds me to do immunizations and other items. I had been to three doctors prior to Dr. Mintz for the same issue, he solved the problem and have been symptom free for three years. Friendly and professional.
