I have been a patient of Dr. Shenasa for many years. I moved to Merced from San Jose 13 years ago. I have kept him as my cardiologist & drive the 125 miles to see him. Dr Shenasa is a wonderful, caring doctor & worth the trip. He put in a pacemaker & performed an ablation on me, both in 2018. He must be an excellent cardiologist, as I have sat in his waiting room & watched other doctors come in to see him as patients.

Dr. Shenasa spent ample time with my aunt and I to discuss alternatives to her current medication. We never felt rushed. He discussed several alternatives to explore and suggested a well-planned safe approach to determine variables affecting her adls with the drugs she is on, with subsequent plans should the adverse events be linked to the medications. He was patient and understandable speaking in layman’s terms. My aunt really felt a connection with him and believes he really cares for her best interest.

The wait time for this office is unacceptable. I've accompanied my mom for three of her visits now and we've waited an average of 45 minutes each visit. Other doctor's offices will reschedule you if you're late more than 15 minutes. I'm going to find her another doctor ??. Office personnel are not helpful, either.

In 3 visits to Dr Shenasa's office I saw him once. The first time I sat in the waited 1. 1/2 hours before speaking to staff. I was taken in a few minutes later and only saw the Dr for 5 minutes because he wanted more test. When I went back for the test results I waited an hour before questioning staff about the wait. 15 minutes later I left. This kind of wait is completely unacceptable and disrespectful to patients. I'll not go back.
