Compassionate, kind, down to earth wonderful Dr.
My brother-in-law was diagnosed with late stage pancreatic cancer. The Novant oncologist told him he only has 3 to 6 months to live. Dr.Uronis and her whole medical team at the Duke Cancer Centre were kind and compassionate to him. They encouraged him and gave him hope to live on! They are very knowledgeable and they are happy to answer every question you have in mind patiently and promptly! The kind of care they provide you was extraordinary! I'm really thankful for their professionalism and all the extra miles that they put in for the patients. Thank you Dr. Uronis and your whole team! We are all very thankful for what you have done for Eddie! May God bless you all

Dr. Uronis is smart and caring. You couldn't ask for a better oncologist to help see you through an extremely difficult diagnosis of stage 4 gastric cancer. She communicates information extremely well, is incredibly good at getting back to you with test results, and is an all-around good egg. She's also extremely personable and easy to talk to. She can get to the meat of a complicated concept and convey it in an understandable way to a regular schmoe like me. There is a one-star review of her here on this site, but if you click on it, you will see that the reviewer clearly didn't mean to leave one star. They give a glowing review...so the one start is very much a mistake, I think. If you have the good fortune of nabbing her as your oncologist, tell her I said hello! She's great.

Dont know how we got so lucky to be assigned to Dr. Uronis when my husband was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer a few months ago. She is caring, compassionate and obviously knows her sruff where cancer is concerned. Her team is amazing and we couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Uronis and the Duke Cancer Center.
