Dr. Holly Swanson, MD

We have been going to Delmar Pediatrics for 4 years now. Almost every interaction we have with Holly is terrible. She is condescending, dismissive, and not helpful at all. The other doctors in the practice are fantastic which is why we have stayed but after this past visit when we asked her to test our son for the flu and she said they dont do that (which we confirmed with the office manager that they do) we are at our end. She also told us our son does not have an ear infection which contradicts what another doctor said the day prior and she told us to stopped the antibitoics. Our son is now extremly sick, with a fever and we don't know what to do. We always avoid her if we can but she was the on call doctor for sick visits the other day so we had no choice. She has no place in this office as her attitude towards parent and lack of concern is reprehensible. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Brand, Larner, and Fernandez - they are all oustanding, the complete opposite of Holly.

Dr. Swanson brought cutting edge knowledge with wide experience to our visit today. She is clearly an expert who delivers expert compassionate medical care. Thank you so much!!

For someone working with kids it's surprising her lack of compassion!!! Laughed at my child being scared of visit with her (he was 1 & 1/2 at the time and had already had some medical issues which had required some invasive treatments). She went on to say that his fearful response should be recorded on video and shown to him when he is older!?! Today when she examined my sons ears with odoscope and he said ouch... She said oh that doesn't hurt. However, her 4 colleagues are fantastic!!!
