Dr. Holly Ashley Cothern, MD

I will start by saying is I could leave NO STARS I would. I will never go back to this dr. Not only is her bedside manner horrible. She spent the least amount of time as possible with me as she could. I would be asking her questions, and she shuffled me out of the room without even going over MAJOR surgery questions I had. During my cervical biopsy, I was NOT numbed prior and almost jumped off the table because of the pain. I was in and out of that biopsy appointment in less than 20mins, and she had to problem just walking out of the office with me in tears from the pain!!!! Not only was that traumatizing, I felt like just another number to get through the day. The office staff was rude, and incompetent. They didn't submit correct medical records for a surgery approval. And 'forgot' to submit approval to insurance until 10 days prior to my scheduled surgery!! Not only did it get denied from insurance because they didn't submit my prior medical records. I go could on and on!!!

Dr. Ashley Cothern is quick and to the point. Very task oriented. If you can tolerate the support staff and do not mind a very task oriented approach, then she’s been spot on with all of her care and diagnosis.

Kind, caring, knowledgeable

Its not a best experience of one of my pregnancy, She is not friendly and supportive at all. I wanted to change doctor but its too late and dont know if i'll experience the same thing to other Doctor so i just stay. But i regret staying!!!

The office is always unprofessional. Their scheduling is awful. Dr Ashley NEVER has accurate medical history, I come in here numerous times a year and she’s always re-asking me questions of things that should be at the top of my chart. She’s asking me questions about whether she could see my strings last time or not for my IUD. Shouldn’t that be a note in my chart?! Why is it my responsibility to remember and remind her?! She prescribed me medication for endometriosis when I don’t even have endometriosis. She did a surgery for a tumor that I never even had!

Worst GYNO experience of my life.

Unfortunately, the way this office is run is anything but professional. Scheduling appointments, asking for a call back, even getting sent bills on time is seemingly impossible for this office. Rushed doctor and opposite of courteous office staff.

I love Dr. Ashley. She has been supportive and understanding through our whole fertility process and she genuinely seems concerned when something is going on. Her office staff could use more training on being polite and courteous and really trying to help the patient though. The office staff isn’t the best and sometimes I feel lost when I’m on my way out.

Very disappointed, runs late on appts, and when i picked up med records to transition to new OB-GYN it got worse... -My name was incorrectly spelled (how do you mess that up?) -My family medical history is INCORRECT- assistant verbally asked my med history at first appointment, Dr. Ashley never confirmed any info in med history it is WRONG on MY MEDICAL RECORDS -Records read CIN 1 MILD DYSPLASIA, over the phone Christina told me i had CIN 3 SEVERE DYSPLASIA. Sad I have no trust in Dr. Ashley.

Office staff is the worst in the Reno valley. Rude and never follow through on prescription assistance or calling you back as promised. Doctors should fire them all!!

Worst Office Staff ever! Make Appt. Show up 15 minutes early for appt., then wait 1 hour, get put in Examination room for an extra hour.... then get told Dr. Has to leave. Try two weeks to see if surgery is scheduled, when on phone to staff, they act liIke they don't know what I'm asking about. They Apparently do talk to Dr. or read Charts. This is the "scheduler"!. I always judge a Dr. By their Staff. What a disaster. They never return calls either.

Love doctor Ashley but the not to sure bout the office staff ! Everytime I go i would think they would have my chart in hand but ask me everytime when do I think I missed my last cycle !!!! As well trying to call them at 8 am is impossible even tho they say we open at 8 am it's 8:30 and phones still not on or answering god forbid I forget I have a 8 or 9 am appt and need asst

Veru nice but the office staff isn't helpful, the waiting area is alwayd blazing hot and Dr. Ashley herself doesn't spend enough time with her patients. I always leave with questions and a worry list. I have complications this pregnancy and I don't feel like the appropriate actions have been taken or made a priority for myself and my baby's health.

I had some concerns in my first trimester and they were not addressed. I always left the office with more questions than answers. my husband and I felt very uneasy and decided to start looking for another doctor.

Office staff is horrible and she doesn't spend enough time with patients. Did my surgery and I ended up having to do another because she noticed something and didn't take care of it. Waited forever in waiting room, she wasn't the most pleasant to work with and they didn't keep good track of records, never called back, and were terrible to work with. I would NEVER go there again.

This is my first pregnancy, and unfortunately I had to switch Doctors due to insurance. My appointment was scheduled for my 17 week check-up. The day of my appointment I got a phone call cancelling. I was rescheduled for a month and a half later. I feel as though there was no urgency or concern, and I was told they couldn't do anything. I felt very uneasy having a doctor that I could not rely on to get me scheduled and keep my appointment in a timely manor. I will never consider her again.
