Gone
The practice and building has been sold to to LLC. There was no warning to the patients and no follow-up. Have been waiting a week to see if new DR will call to re-schedule the cancelled appointment. Am already on the hunt for a new primary care DR and practice.

Great doctor
Very caring, called me on the weekend to make sure I am doing well. In his office he took time to examine me without rushing. I highly recommend him.

He is more interested in making money anyway he can as opposed to patient care. I have been going to Thumb Butte Medical Center for about 7 years. I have not seen the same doctor more than 2 times. The doctors and nurse practitioners go through there like water. No one stays very long. Have to wait for 1 1/2 hours to see him while he is in the waiting room hugging and kissing on patients and talking on his phone in the hall way. All the while you sit in the office waiting to see him. Then, when he comes in he rushes and just prescribes pills, doesn't listen to you. My husband came to him told him how sick he has been for months. Described his issues. He ordered a blood test and told him to drink fruit juice for constipation . My husband came back two weeks later to get his test results found out that his A1C was 572. Askari never even suggested he might have diabetes. One of his other doctors read the test and gave him insulin in his office.

He is very caring. He has given lots of attention to me and my family. We have been going to him for several years. I know his office has been growing thus sometimes he has growing pains with staff but it is getting better. Thats part of being a great office and provider.

This place is such a joke even with their inflated ratings. The office staff is so bad it’s beyond words. Two times the heavy set woman that works there, with an incredible attitude, “forgets” to notify the back in present. I waited around an hour each time. My specialty medicine for cancer costs thousands of dollars and coordination with the hospital was essential. When I called the medicine line at this ridiculous place and left a message regarding the urgency of it, I got no response; when I called Askari’s MA about the same thing (Yolanda), no response; when I called the office manager Amy, no response!!! I am completely serious: no response. When I called to make an appointment today to see the PA, they tell me to come on in. When I get there, they tell me they’re sorry and that I need to schedule an appointment. This place literally embodies the reasons this country has gone down the tubes: 100% greed with no level of quality or oversight or accountability whatsoever.

Terrible. Dr. Askari's practice has turned into a medical mill. Don't expect a thorough exam or any comprehensive medical care. If you have a minor scratch you are probably ok. Dr. Askari seems more comfortable with "meet and greet" but he is not one to listen carefully to what a patient is describing. It's a one-size-fits-all practice.

I’d give him a zero if it were an option. Sitting in a room waiting for him, he up and leaves the building. We find out after a long wait and getting up looking to see why we are having to wait so long. No one came to say anything about him leaving and he is NOT a surgeon so there wasn’t a emergency of that type. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR THIS KIND OF NONSENSE! ! !

I have been going to Dr. Askari for several years and his care has gone steadily down hill. He was so friendly and personable but now it is almost impossible to get an appointment with him and his staff is just awful. I will no longer refer anyone to his office and I am looking for a new physician.

If I could give a ZERO, I would. This doctor should not be practicing medicine. He's negligent on sooooo many levels and tries to use charm to deflect from accepting responsibility. If you care about you or your loved one's health, NEVER go to him.

The office of Hojat Askari, is not unlike a puppy mill! There are so many things wrong with this place it is hard to know where to start. You may have an appointment with Dr. Askari, but seeing him is highly unlikely. We stayed with the practice for almost 2 years before reaching the point of no return. Referrals and prescription renewals are impossible to get! After more than a few calls (leaving messages & never receiving return calls), we went to the office to bug them! Find someone else!!

I have only seen this doctor twice. I will not recommend him to anyone because he is more interested with chatting with people in the waiting room than caring for a patient. He does not look at my records when he comes into the exam room. The first time I saw him as a new patient he raised his voice and talked to me like I was a deaf old lady! He is more concerned with rescheduling for a follow up visit (so he can bill Medicare) than he is with actually being concerned with my well being.

Dr. Askari has been a lifesaver for my parents. They are both in their late 80's and he has gone way beyond the call of duty to make sure they have the best medical care possible. He takes a personal interest in his patients. If they ever need to make an appointment because of a immediate medical issue, he makes every effort to get them in immediately. I don't know what my parents would do without him. I highly recommend Dr. Askari to anyone considering him as their physician.

First I was impressed because Dr. Askari was able to see me quickly as a walk in, and even though I had been seeing a PA that has since left the medical center and had never seen Askari before. He was friendly, warm, and caring, which is pretty rare in an MD. Usually visiting the doctor's office gives me anxiety due to my association with cancer-related visits, however after meeting Askari, my mind feels at ease about the next time I may have to visit the Dr.

My previous primary care physician retired and I had difficulties finding another physician, like other people I know in Prescott. A friend recommended me to contact Dr. Hojat Askari and I did. I was fortunate that Dr. Askari accepted me as his new patient. He is a very caring physician. Dr. Askari built a new beautiful Medical Center and I hope he will be in Prescott for a long time. I recommend Dr. Hojat Askari. Cameron N.
