I was scheduled for a follow up, after being charged $623. 00 for blood work, and they canceled the follow up and said they had called to reschedule. That did not happen and then it would be another three months before they could see me. I am in a lot of pain. They handed me the paperwork to go on line to get my results. What did they think I could do with it? Worse experience ever.

I have seen Dr. Fung for about 6-7 yrs after being diagnosed with RA. I am on my second medication after the first one started making me sick after taking it for 5 yrs. This one is starting to do the same thing...causing migraines. Dr. Fung will not listen to me and has told me I need to talk to my Neurologist about it. I already take 2 different migraine preventatives. I have stopped the RA meds again on my own. I will suffer in pain for a bit longer then see if he will prescribe something different or I need to find a different doctor.

After waiting two months to see the doctor, I made it to Waco, where I was told I had to wear a mask. While in the waiting room a nurse came out to tell me put your mask on, and I explained that I have broken my nose and cannot breathe with it on. An hour after my appointment was scheduled I was called back. As soon as I walked back there,p the nurse and the doctor met me at the door to tell me there are no exceptions I must wear the mask or I cannot come in. I again explain I cannot breathe I offered to wear it over my mouth and they told me no. The repeatedly said I could come back when I could wear the mask, and I explained that's never going to happen I can't breathe I broke my nose. At this point the doctor said I could leave. I will never go back there again!

My experience during my visit with Dr Fung was flawless. I didn't wait long, he was a real hands on doctor and he explained everything during our visit. Haven't seen a doctor that not only uses his knowledge, but also his senses to examine you in a very long time.

Very helpful
I started seeing Dr. Fung after a horrible experience with another rheumatologist. He got me off of prednisone and on medication that helped tremendously. Every visit isn’t perfect because he is a busy doctor, but I’m not suffering from severe pain anymore. I drive 6 hours one way to be seen by Dr. Fung.

This was one of the most uncaring and STRANGE appointments I've ever had. I am clinically diagnosed with LUPUS SLE and Dercums Disease ....BOTH autoimmune diseases I was there to establish new patient care Doctor fung was in the room with me for maybe 15 minutes.... I brought a 3 ring binder of previous medical records In order to provide him with instant knowledge of my current situation...... He handed it to the nurse and asked her to enter it into my chart never reading any of it. The examination was him only asking to see the inside of my mouth....determined I had dry mouth and ordered a chest X-ray .....WHAT ???? And told me to book an appointment for 6 months to come BACK I left there with no plan of any kind from DR FUNG to help me with ANY of my medical issues Needless to say .......I will never come back !!!

Went to this office as a first time patient. Got there early as I always arrive somewhat early for my appts. Got called back within fifteen minutes. But when I got back to a room, I was waiting over a hour and a half. I almost walked out. And then as nice as Dr. Santhi Penmetsa was the visit seemed rushed, and I was so frustrated. And I have nothing against anyone, But it was hard to understand her. And they charged me $90 for that visit that rendered no relief for my RA just a bunch of pills with all kinds of side effects. No Thank you.

My GP put in a referral to Dr. Fung’s office for my chronic joint pain and other autoimmune symptoms. Waited almost 3 weeks for a phone call from them to schedule before calling to find out what the hold up was. I understood that it might take longer because of the pandemic going on. Was put on hold for several minutes by a very rude woman (receptionist?) and then told that Dr. Fung wouldn’t be taking me as a patient because he didn’t think my bloodwork from my GP warranted rheumatology (mind you, it was very basic bloodwork he was looking at). I asked at what point they planned to let me know that since I had waited 3 weeks to hear from them, and was told by her, “I don’t know. I just pulled your file off the stack on his desk. We’ll call your doctor and let him know we won’t be seeing you, and then she hung up. Saw my doctor today (2 weeks later) and he was shocked they refused to see me, as he had never received any calls from them. Unprofessional behavior, and set me back a month.

The past two visits to Dr. Fung's have been very disappointing. The most recent being yesterday, I wasn't seen until 1708 and my appointment was scheduled for 1530; I waited 2 hours and no one gave me an explanation as to what was going on until I came out of the room a little before 1700 to let them I needed to leave to pick up my child. By the time Dr. Fung got to my room he was in a rush to get me out of the office that he didn't spend any time asking how I was doing but rather telling me I was doing okay. The time before this should have been an easy visit as it was just lab work. I waited 45 minutes before being taken to the back to have them drawn, because "we forgot about you."

Dr. Fung is very caring and Thorough. I saw him 5 years ago and recently started seeing him again. My condition has deteriorated since our first visit years ago and he is work hard to get to the root of the issue instead of just treating the symptoms.

As a doctor, Dr.Fung is very knowledgeable, hands on,and provides safe treatments that work. The staff that represents him however is EXTREMELY rude, inconsiderate, inconsistent, unprofessional, and inpatient. Nor do they know how to control their temper. When I first considered switching rheumatologist because of the representing staff alone at Dr.Fung's office, the rheumatologist office in Killeen AND temple stated that most of the patients that have came from Dr.Fung's office has complained about

I have been seeing Dr Fung for 16 years for Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Sjogren's and Raynauds. He is very cautious prescribing drugs that affect my liver. He is receptive to my treatment of diagnostic ideas that I find and study on the internet. He is patient during office visits although he only sees me every 6 months. I don't know what I'll do when he no longer practices as Rheumatologists are very rare in this part of Texas. I am very satisfied and happy with him.

Dr Fung does not address all Pt issues thoroughly. I have been advised/referred to seek care from another Rheumatologist by other health care professionals. The appointment times are poorly managed and then rushed through. Honestly I feel my time is/has been wasted. Labs are not being performed.

Dr Fung's nurse practitioner Pamela is very rude , she just didn't know why I was in so much pain . Maybe it's because my bone is deteriorating in my spine , with 8 bulging disc and several bone spurs , and significant narrowing . She doesn't know why I complain of so much pain in my knees ? Maybe it's because my knee X-ray said moderate cartilage thinning , soft tissue edema and lateral subluxation , spurring of the patella. None of my testing from 2 years ago is positive for arthritis !
