They kept me waiting for 45 minutes in the examining room even though they were outside in the hall giggling away. When I did meet the doctor she immediately jumped to the conclusion that my sodium level was too high. That I could no longer eat chicken, turkey, beef, pork or any processed foods. When I tried to explain that my last blood work for the last three or four times has shown a sodium deficiency. Instead she proceeded to add another blood pressure medicine that I was to take on Tuesdays Thursdays Saturdays and Sundays. She said to me TTSS. She asked if I could remember that? She has to be one of the most condescending doctors I’ve ever been to. My doctor referred me to her for a specific test. I asked about getting that scheduled and she said oh no my dear first you have to have three other tests. I refuse those tests. Finally about three weeks later her office called to schedule the one my doctor wanted. I told him I’d already made an appointment with another cardiologist.

Run, don’t walk, away from Shah
Ridiculous wait times, rude staff, & arrogant physician. She almost cost me my life & avoided me afterwards, not wanting to explain any of the multiple problems that occurred during a very rushed procedure that she was running late for!

would never send anyone to heart & Rhythm Solutions ran by Dr. Himal Shah. I see ALL my doctors in the Phoenix area, I lived there for over twenty years. I have flown & drove across country to see my physicians. I always take great care in planning my trip to get the biggest bang for my time & energy. The appointment I had scheduled with her, was planned for and cost $350 plus food and my sister took a week off work to help me travel with my service dog. Some tests they can’t attend… upon arrival I waited for over an hour and then was told Dr Shah was not there and I would be seeing the MA!!! Needless to say I was triggered. The MA said she wanted certain tests done and said I would be hearing about scheduling a couple of them. The others I scheduled the appointment in Chandler. My appointment was on a Friday, the following Monday I called to see if I could have the tests run in my home town, in New Mexico, the staff told me that “Dr. Shah said no, she wants her people to do the test

I am 45 years old with a history of a stroke at 41 yrs old. I was referred to Dr. Shah and have only been able to see her while passing in the hallway. I find it unacceptable that a medical professional who has a new patient through a referral and highly recommended does not even make time to attend the appointment herself. If I did not show up for the appointment I would be given a bill for a no-show. I find it a waste of my time to be seen by a PA/MA when the doctor is submitting a bill for services that she does not provide. I have numerous concerning experiences with this doctor including the fact she is being paid by my insurance company and myself for services she specifically is not rendering including my very first visit. I am even tempted to appeal the charges from her with my insurance company. If she does not have to provide personal attention to patients then she should not be accepting new patients/referrals.

I am 31 years old and have sick sinus syndrome. Dr Shah was quick to diagnose and completely supportive in any decision i wanted to make with medication or pacemaker. We went forward with the pacemaker and her and her staff were supportive, comforting and answered any and every question i had. Dr Shah is so caring and i fully trust her with my life.

Run, run as fast as you can. 5 months and I am still waiting for results. They refuse to give my Dr a simple "yes " or " no" whether I have a heart issue or not holding up my care. They gave me 2 pieces of papers with tests results one said 2 yrs old pediatric and the other said male which I am never further confusing the issue.... then said she spent extensive time with me.....problem is I never saw her. So she ordered tests for a patient she never saw and then paperwork says 2 yrs old......hmmm

Be beware if you get referred over from another physician they will not provide test results to your DR. They make you come back so they can hit your insurance again. They will not release them even though they have been paid. So they hold your records hostage. I agree with others go somewhere else , rude , unhelpful and unprofessional.I never once even saw the Dr and I now no idea if I have a heart problem or not. The only copy they gave me was actually for another patient so I am sure thats against HIPPA. They claim the Dr spent extensive time with me although I never once saw the Dr.

We have met Dr. Shah one time now. We really appreciate her help with our mom. She was able to see her on very short notice and we didn't mind waiting. Her office staff is wonderful! They are all so caring and have positive attitudes.

As a cardiac specialist, Dr.Shah is top notch. She saved my life with an ablation to stop my A-Flutter/AFib. That being said, her staff needs improvement, especially her PA - e has absolutely no bedside manner, and appears to be more interested in typing on her laptop than she is listening to her patient. At first, thought it was me just being touchy but I have met with her 4 times now and her behavior is never any different. From now on I will make sure to see Dr.Shah and not her PA!

I liked Dr. Shah and her staff, but beyond that I haven't had a great experience. I was referred to Dr. Shah when my GP thought I might have Afib. After an EKG and a 2 minute evaluation she decided I had SVT and offered to schedule a cardiac ablation ASAP. I'm not even 40 and that's a big procedure to me, so she told me she suggested I wear a monitor and have a cardiac ultrasound. It's been TWO MONTHS and still no results I'm guessing/hoping it's not a life threatening condition

Dr. Shah is exceptionally talented in her profession. Recently most of the office staff and the other Dr have either left or been fired. Each time I go to the office there is new staff. Currently there is only Dr Shah and her Nurse Practitioner. Med. assistants are less than qualified. I am pursuing changing doctors at this time. I will agree with others that the waiting times are outrageous and with only Dr Shah it is impossible to get appts. I have lost confidence with her practice.
