The worst experience I’ve had with a “doctor!”
was with Patels practice for almost a year and never had any problems, at first. I was with a nice person named Julia but in my mind I wanted to switch to someone more experienced so when I found out Patel was I switched to Patel long story short he was cold, condescending, disrespectful, unprofessional, and he even will hold your prescriptions if he gets upset. He has no consideration and I’m amazed he is a doctor. I was with them for almost a year with zero issues but, when Patel took over I end up being discharged from Their practice a few weeks later! I tried to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy but they told me the doctor had called it in but then canceled it. So, I call Dr patels office to tell them I can’t fill my prescriptions because the pharmacist told me the doctor canceled and Patel told me there was nothing he could do and to take it up with the pharmacy!? I said how will the pharmacy fill my scripts with a canceled script? DR. HETAL PATEL IS THE WORST DOC

Was very pleasant in the initial consultation; seemed to listen and wanted to get me on the right path with medication and therapy. After about a year, I am ready for a new psychiatrist. He can be very dismissive depending on how you answer his questions. On one call, I started discussing concerns for ADHD - he stopped me immediately and told me we should focus on the anxiety, then never readdressed my ADHD concerns. Also interrupts me when I try to explain how I am feeling; if it's not in order of his specific list of questioning, he will cut you off. Tried to call to see if I could see an NP or PA for my therapist, as I prefer clinicians to social workers - was told the NPs and PAs only manage medication, which is crap to me. Social workers there seem only interested in curbing anxiety as it happens, rather than getting to the root of the issues and helping identify past traumas or the "why" of your disorder. Seeking new help.

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go to this doctor. He shouldn't even be called Dr. The most uncaring, unempathetic, jerk of a doctor I have ever met. Puts on a good front your first visit, then goes downhill from there. Doesn't give you the time of day. Owns more than one clinic. HE is just a money grabber. I will be reporting him to the American Medical Association for his poor demeanor towards patients. I will also be reporting him to my insurance company. He is running what is similar to a puppy mill. Save yourself the grief.

Absolutely the rudest doctor I have ever met! He talks over you, gets upset and mean if you dont answer him with only a yes or no when he asks questions. Would not let me get a word in when trying to address concerns and would tell me that I was being inconsiderate to his other appts waiting and didnt have the time to listen to me anymore as apparently he slots 5-10 mins for appts. Didnt tell me to stop taking a med and when I asked about a refill he rudely told me he wasnt refilling it bc he insisted he told me to not take it anymore a month prior which was not true. My concerns of withdrawal symptoms by suddenly having to stop taking it was no concern to him. He basically said he didnt care that was my problem. Made hurtful remarks about how long my insomnia issue was going on (a few months of seeing him) bc none of the meds worked to help me to sleep other than one which he refused to refill. Complete jerk!

Meeting with the Doctor it seemed great. He is very knowledgeable and looks to helping you get on a plan. Now if you throw short term into the mix it becomes a different story. The lady that works the office does not take down any notes when you call. She will not let the doctor know if you have an issue. She will get upset your short term is looking for specific paper work that they are not seeing from her. If your insurance messed up and you have to get a refill on your pills but cant. Do

This is by far the worst doctor i've EVER, EVER, met. He is a man who feels he stands far above those he treats. He will not list to one concern of yours w out having a sarcastic, smart allic answer as he interrupts every word you begin to say. He's very rude, nasty and completely uncaring. He doesn't give one the time of day to speak w him as he's too busy being a dictator to you. If you feel your in need of psychiatric intervention plz DO NOT waste your time w this man as he's a heartless, JER

Dr. Or staff ever return calls. Very frustrating when you need Medications refilled. Most of his time is spent at Harbor Oaks. Not sure why he would open a private practice when he can't see patients or return calls.
