This doctor disregards patient's health and time
This doctor and his staff are totally unprofessional. My first experience in 2021 gave me warning signs that I was trying to find a new GI doctor. This office sent me to the Hospital for a colonoscopy and when I got there, I was not on the schedule and I had completed the bowel prep. . Because of that, the hospital did the procedure. In November 2023 I was in the hospital and needed procedures to rule out internal bleed. Dr Jackson was the consulting doctor. He did 2 endoscopic procedures and prescribed some medications with no direction on what it was for or how long i would need to be on it. When was discharged from the hospital and tried to schedule my post hospitalization appointment, I could not get an appointment until January 31,2024. Which was canceled the day before. The Dr finally called me and told me I needed another procedure done soon. His office scheduled the procedure. I show up at the Hospital and the Dr was not there, but was on vacation out of town.

Always cancelling
Dr. Jackson's office is always canceling appointments and no follow up. The receptionist always says that he's going to call from the hospital, but I never hear from him. When I call back to reschedule, I can barely get through and when the appointment is scheduled in the office it is always cancelled. I've seen Dr. Jackson once and for 2 years I have not been able to get an appointment without the office calling to cancel. Maybe it's time to retire.

I first visited him in the early nineties and have visited him off and on every since. I had no idea that there are so few doctors of his professional calibur. EXCELLENT, but so hard to get a response for an appointment now. The waits are long when you get in because he is so patience and thorough with his patients. In a class by himself.

He is an excellent doctor in his field. He listens to you and explain issues found very well. So though wait time is long it is worth the wait.

I absolutely think Dr. Jackson is a wonderful doctor, great bedside manner, explains conditions simply, etc. However, it is practically impossible to get to see him. My last visit, I waited more than THREE hours to visit him. I waited because I needed to renew a mandatory prescription. I had made two phone calls requesting that he renew my prescriptions. He did not respond, so I made an appointment.

Caring, passionate about his patients health, outstanding bedside manners, communicates to his patient for understanding and concerned. Unfortunately, it is hard to find a physician who has all of this traits today, as many physicians spend 5 minutes with you and on to the next patient.
