Dr. Henry Mixon, MD

He was very pleasant and straightforward. He was very thorough and took the time to answer all our questions.

We saw this doctor in October of 2020, and he was possibly the rudest doctor we have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I brought in my mother, whom I have been caring for in excess of ten years, and he made a point of dramatically acting like he didn't believe anything that I told him about her or what she needed. She's had multiple strokes, and she sometimes has difficulty opening her mouth, even when she says she's hungry and she's awake, so her doctor and I had made an appointment with Dr. Mixon to discuss placing a feeding tube for her to be sure that she got enough food and fluids. At the time of her appointment she had a UTI (big surprise, if you have trouble opening your mouth and swallowing it's difficult to get enough fluids to not have a UTI) and he flatly refused to even consider helping her. In fact, he recommended to her primary care physician that we place her in hospice care. So no, I will never recommend this doctor to anyone, ever.

Excellent bedside manner and medical acumen. Dr. Mixen and his staff have taken very good care of me. He was not in a hurry and addressed all issues of a complex situation.

My visit was horrible. I do not mind a dr being an hour late but when a DR hears my symptoms and says you are my last appointment of the day and I should consider going back to the ER because he did not want to deal with it. Needless to say we moved past that because I was in pain. He saw me that day and then ordered a bunch of test. I would have to call for a follow up on my test results to which I was asked it I smoked pot.... I don't. Then again told to go to ER. He scheduled more test but would not see me in the office again. When I went to get a second opinion from another Dr he dropped me from being his patient. Abolutely RUDE.

He was very straight forward, and the colonoscopy went smoothly
