This doctor has absolutely no bedside manner. He came off as rude, arrogant and sarcastic, when he asked questions and listened to my sons concerns. The doctor never even examined my son's stomach. Before we knew it, we were sent out of the exam room like number!

Made colonoscopy prep tolerable
Besides being an excellent doctor, Dr. Ho is empathetic and helpful. Best gastroenterologist I've been to. After telling him how awful my previous two colonoscopy preps had been, he explained that the less fiber is in the system, the easier the prep would be. So, I started a very low fiber diet 4 days before the procedure. That definitely helped a lot. The one suggestion I do have is that he (and every gastroenterologist) should mention the option to use prescription tablets, instead of a vile tasting liquid solution to purge the colon. He didn't because insurance doesn't cover it, but patients should know that they have the option and be able to decide for themselves. When I asked, he prescribed it. It was well worth the $100 out-of-pocket cost.

I highly recommend Dr. Ho. He has a different way about him that is refreshing from other doctors. He is kind, warm and caring which immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel comfortable. He takes time to listen to what you have to say and when it comes to any questions that you have, he answers in a way so that it’s easy for you to understand. Even the office staff are great. They are always friendly & helpful.

Recently had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Ho and I cannot recommend him, his staff and Salem Medical Center more highly. He not only knows his stuff, he has a wonderful way about him, friendly yet professional. He spends time with you, answers any question and provides human explanations about what is going on.

I was so nervous about getting my first colonoscopy done, but once meeting Dr. Ho and consulting with him in his office made me feel a bit at ease about the procedure and the day of at the hospital him and his staff couldn’t do enough for me the experience was great I guess as far as colonoscopies go. Lol

Went to Dr. Ho which multiple tests preformed to rule out gallbladder problem. Went to follow up visit at Mt. Laraul office with my husband. In examination room he looked at my husband and I and said you look familiar. Explained that my symptoms were worsening. Dr. went on computer to remind himself, he turn to us laughed and said it must be heartburn. Little did Dr know I'm a retired nurse and needed to have surgery ( by a diff Dr)because it was so scarred with adhesions. Way to go Dr Ho. Beware
