He was dismissive of my feelings and concerns, pushed for a c section when it wasn't necessary, kept saying I was probably going to hemorrhage if I didn't listen to him, told me how women in Africa hemorrhage and die and their babies die too.... He said I wasn't progressing when he did cervical checks, and stopped nurses from doing them but the nurses were saying I was progressing. He refused to call the anesthesiologist to get my epidural upped because I could feel everything, so birth was agonizing. In my opinion, he doesn't allow the female body enough time to do it's thing to get babies out, he has to be in control and implement medical interventions even when not indicated. He was shocked when I was able to progress and birth my baby, said it has never happened before. But I think it's because he has little respect for the capabilities of women's bodies and pushes for c sections too soon. He focused on what could go wrong instead of letting my body do what it needed to do.
