Dr. Helen Kang, MD

I called her office to ask some questions and she was so rude I thought I was speaking to a front desk rep or something & then she said she was Dr Kang. I work in the medical field over 10 years and I rarely run into rude providers so l definitely needed to write a review about her.I called with a simple question, and from the jump, the tone was nasty, impatient, and completely uncalled for. As if I was a burden for even daring to call the office they work at.She might be a doctor and clearly book-smart, but it's obvious she couldn't comprehend real-world or street-level common sense if it slapped her in the face.If this is how you treat potential patients, you don't deserve to have any. Full stop.

Service was very poor. No kind of result just assuming what was wrong with patient and rushing patient out the office.

Doctor Kang is very sweet and above all she transmits security to you. God chose the best surgeon for me!! I'm very grateful to her!!

I found Dr Kang through a referral by my GP's nurse assistant when first diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer last year.Having seen other surgeons for options, I have to say that Dr Kang is one of the most skilled, caring and experienced breast surgeons in Los Angeles. I feel blessed to have found her. She basically saved my life and guided me through every step of my treatment. She is engaged, knowledgeable and honest and extremely empathetic which is hard to find.I highly recommend her. She is truly a gem.

Dr. Kang is an extremely efficient, highly skilled surgeon. My mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and we are so blessed to have been referred to Dr. Kang for her surgery. From the get-go, she reassured us and walked us through step by step what surgery/post-surgery may look like. She answered all questions and her kind yet confident demeanor gave us the full confidence and trust to proceed. She performed my mom’s surgery smoothly, and even took the extra care to make sure scarring would be minimally noticed. The Son family is so so grateful for Dr. Kang!!

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2018 and was referred to Dr. Helen Kang. During my first visit, I was a bit apprehensive, but it turned out to be a good one. She was very straight forward in explaining to me and my family the seriousness of my condition, no sugar coating, no non-sense talk. She was very detailed on how we are going to tackle the situation. The surgery went smoothly. Dr. Kang speaks frankly and can be perceived as offensive and uncaring, but I find it the opposite. I am so lucky and blessed to have been referred to her. She is very good in what she does and cares a lot about her patients. My son always tells me "Mom, we are so lucky that Dr. Kang is your doctor. Thanks to her that you are okay." I still visit Dr. Kang for my yearly mammogram.

My mother was referred to Dr. Kang and from the first visit we were very bless to meet her. Dr. Kang is very professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind. My mom's breast surgery went well and her health has improved tremendously, I would highly recommend Dr. Kang ( excellent bedside manner ). Thank you Dr. Kang, GOD bless you.
