Positive experience
I've only had positive experiences with Dr Ede. I've been seeing her for many years. She's very accommodating, always willing to do blood tests I ask her for that may not be part of the standard of care. She has good manners and her staff appears to be well trained and is pleasant to work with. She helped me figure out some auto-immune issues a couple of years ago and recommended me to a specialist. I don't have any complaints and I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews.

Only the most positive of experience!
Welcomed by a warm, knowledgeable, friendly staff. Dr. Ede made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She appropriately questioned me about my health or any concerns I might have had. She offered her opinion, listened to my point of view and together we agreed upon a plan.

Very poor
I also much like the above patients was mistreated by Dr. Ede. After telling me she took over 6000 new patients from another doctor she went away for a month! I had multiple problems there with a badly trained med assistant and with Dr. Ede. She isn’t smart enough to order proper testing or how to read results. She broke her oath with me and I was extremely upset stay away from this doctor if you want to be healthy.

Dropped me as a patient
Would not schedule an appointment with me because I did not come in for a physical during COVID, and therefore I am no longer a patient. Mind you, this visit I was requesting was for a follow up appointment, after being in the emergency room over the weekend. Only response I received was we may be able to take you back as a patient in November. A complete failure of the Hippocratic Oath.

I was a long time patient of Dr. Ede. I respected and liked her a great deal. She got a 100% accurate report about me from another doctor. She/her staff did not read the report correctly and it turned, in their realities only, into something upsetting. I asked why I wasn't called for a conversation. Dr, Ede snapped at me saying I did get a call. I kept checking my phone looking for the call and it wasn't there. I had been a long time patient. I would have expected Dr. Ede to immediate;y check on me if she really thought the fantasy version was true. I asked for an apology and Dr, Ede refused to offer one. She said I was rude. I was pushed to my limit and hurt if that's rude so be it. She's trained to understand when someone is deeply upset. I am in my late 60s and have never cried over the way a doctor treated me until this incident. I studied applied math and value accuracy. Dr. Ede needs to be more accurate.

Multiple poor experiences with this provider. I didn’t feel adequately heard or believed. I did not feel cared for. I shouldn’t have stayed with her for as long as I did. Took me a long time to get the courage to even go to another doctor after my experiences with her. It was rough. Figured I was better off on my own. Luckily I’ve since found a wonderful Dr. that is helping to restore my faith in medicine. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Ede to anyone unless they’re out of all other options.

I am grateful to have found Dr. Helen Ede, Internal Medical Dr who runs a single practitioner practice in Madison CT. A small practice like this is hard to find today in the age of large conglomerate medical offices. She and her staff are friendly, caring, experienced, and detail-oriented. Thank you very much!

My experience with Dr. Ede was disappointing. Several pharmacies had begun dispensing a counterfeit version of Maxzide, the blood pressure medication I take. Dr. Ede, agreed that my weight and blood pressure readings indicated that I was either not taking or not receiving the proper medication at the proper dose. She did not, however, blame the pharmacies in question and insisted that she had not written prescriptions for placebos. Finally, Big Y was able to dispense the proper medication, but Dr. Ede felt that my complaints to the pharmacies dispensing counterfeit medications had jeopardized her reputation, and she asked me to leave the practice. I have since filed a complaint with the FDA, but I remain disappointed with my experience at Sterling Primary Care.

Brought my sick 84 year old mother to Dr. Ede’s Office; My mom’s health is deteriorating & she has very limited mobility. So getting from point A to point B has become more & more difficult. That said, we were 15 minutes late for our appt. Before I could get through through the door the receptionist was telling me we had to reschedule because of our lateness!! When I asked if they could still fit us in as my mom is sick she said sorry they were fully booked! My sick mother was turned away!!
