An excellent doctor
Dr. Wheat is an excellent nephrologist. She routinely orders all of the necesssry lab work, reviews and explains the lab results with me and has initiated a treatment plan. So far everything has worked out well. I would definitely recommend her.

Always takes the time to discuss my condition. Shows me lab results and explains. A very nice demeanor. Conscientious about follow up.

Dr.Wheat is very knowledgeable and I trust the decisions she has made to adjust my plan of care. I do wish she were easier to make an appointment with. No appt times past 3pm so it makes it difficult for people who work.

After a lengthy time to reach a diagnosis, the correct treatment was recommended and indicating success. However due to the omission of one important recognized treatment factor, the patient was denied a chance for remission. While having a pleasant bedside manner, Dr.Wheat is reluctant to communicate “clear” information on her reasoning for this.
