II was seen (not touched or examined) by this doctor and a resident in the YH Ed who informed me that my right lower quadrant pain and other specific details along with off the charts bloodwork was “nothing exciting” and must be the norovirus. Despite having a ct scan done in the ed which stated my appendix was “surgically absent” (not true) I was told I was fine because that is the “gold standard” for testing. I was discharged with ginger ale, gold fish, and a script for an anti nausea medication. I had appendicitis treated non operatively in April ‘24. I am experiencing the same pain and symptoms I did then. When I informed the nursing staff I felt written off and unheard Dr. Rossi sent her resident in to treat me like a laymen who was also very condescending.
