Dr. Heather Mewes, DO

From day one of meeting Dr. Heather Mewes she was awesome. Took my health issues very serious.

Dr. Mewes prioritized my issues and looked for solutions with my preferences in mind very efficiently.

I have already referred Dr. Mewes to Rachel's former patients that I know.

This was my first time with Dr. Mewes and was impressed with her.

I waited two full hours and had to complain before this woman would grace me with her presence, and then she acted like I was the problem for being upset over the wait. The office seemed quiet and uneventful so I cannot imagine why there was such a wait. I asked for a blood test for H. Pylori which I have had previously and suspected I had it again. She acted as if I couldn't possibly know what I was talking about, despite the symptoms being familiar and also having a bit of medical background myself. Instead of writing a script to test for H. Pylori (which is a simple blood or breath test) she jumped right to, 'I can refer you to get a scope done'. Why would a doc skip to something so complicated instead of starting with the simplest test? She flew through my visit and seemed to be put out with me asking questions regarding her approach to my issues. I was literally asking her questions as she was walking out the door and down the hallway.

She listens, and she takes patient concerns seriously.

Mainly sat and stared at me on 1st appointment. Same in 2nd appointment. She said she couldn't do anything because computers were down so she slouched in her chair. Before computers doctors wrote things down. Consequently she made careless inaccurate notations on my medical record that had to be corrected. Insisted she order an mri for bone pain, it came back positive for bone marrow abnormality and she said no further test needed. Wrong. So I tried Dr Raja. She misrepresented everything I told her to make it sound like i had nerve pain so she could send me to Dr Delly a neurologist and Dr Attos brother in law. (Even tho mri showed bone marrow abnormality). After 3 appointment with Dr Raja she said she was sending me to Dr delly, gave me a prescription for Tramadol - one rx- and submitted my name to the chronic opioid use registry. Tramadol. isn't a true opioid and I did not and do not use opioids for anything. This clinic and its doctors are questionable. Will not return.
