Dr. Heather Hofflich, DO

I believe that Dr Hofflich is the finest physician I have ever encountered. She represents everything that is good in a physician. She is thorough, kind, knowledgeable, and concerned about the person as well as the disease

Mixed. Good re: interest in treating low bone mass. Dismissive regarding very low thyroid hormones and low-thyroid symptoms because she cited a good level of TSH. I would not recommend her to a hypothyroid friend or family member.

Dr. Hofflich is intelligent, gentle, and personable. I think she’s the greatest.

I have been a patient of Dr Hofflich's for the last eight years. I feel secure knowing that she is my primary doctor. We will schedule an appointment 4-6 months down the road. But I know that if I need to see or communicate with Dr. Hofflich sooner, she will either get me in earlier , or email me. My health has improved immensely over the years under Dr. Hofflich and her team of doctors care. I am so fortunate that she is my doctor!

Lack of a detailed treatment plan for a complex patient was disappointing.

Dr. Hofflich is a knowledgeable, warm, and caring physician. It is her dedication to her patients, her positive and reassuring attitude , along with her medical knowledge and research abilities that have gotten me through many complicated health issues. If you have hypothyroidism due to Hashimoto's, please DO NOT waste your time with Hofflich. She does not have the competence to treat this complex condition. Hashimoto's, the leading cause of hypothyroidism in the US, is an autoimmune condition where the body attacks the thyroid with antibodies (revealed in blood work via the anti TPO antibody test). Caring but limited comptence!

I found that Dr. Hofflich's staff is mostly courteous, Dr. Hofflich herself listens very well (and isn't one of those doctors who thinks they know your body better than you), and is willing to work with you on treating your condition. However, it's incredibly difficult to get in touch with anyone in her office (if you're calling in for endocrinology and not internal medicine), and even more difficult to get an appointment with her. Wait times can exceed 2.5 months for an appointment; ridiculous!
