Dr. Heather Gillespie, MD

Very thorough and not rushed. Looked at all the possible causes of my symptoms.

Dr Gillespie is a very caring doctor. Rheumatology is a very difficult form of medicine. It is certainly not cut and dry. Plus I am sure none of her patients are the same. So diagnosing and prescribing the correct medications can be very difficult. But Dr Gillespie is like a dog with a bone and she will not give up. She is a fighter. She also is not afraid to let me know when she is challenged. I also like that she will ask my opinion on treatment options. In my opinion, she is also very scientific. She is not willing to throw out a diagnosis. She will work very hard to be sure her patients are properly diagnosed and are receiving the proper medication. I thank God everyday for Dr Gillespie, as she is an amazing doctor! I am very thankful she is my Rheumatologist!!!

The first time I went to Dr. Gillespie’s office, the nurse could tell I was nervous. He told me, “don’t worry, Dr. G has been doing this for a long time and she’s not a ‘my way or the highway’ doctor.” He was right, nothing to worry about! Dr. Gillespie is honestly excellent at her job. Not only does she keep up on the latest science, but she’s also an extremely compassionate human being who will take the time to listen and thoroughly answer questions.

Excellent doctor who was able to diagnose my condition and find a treatment that is working. She succeeded when many other doctors had failed.

Dr. Gillespie is an excellent diagnostician and compassionate aid. She understands my unique circumstance and helps me fight with my awful insurance. I am a younger guy who has had rhuemy issues for a while and if you're searching for a rheumy I think your search can end here.

Dr. Gillespie is an excellent rheumatologist, but she's also an excellent physician and diagnostician. When other specialists did not determine my problem, Dr. Gillespie's "hunch" got me on the road to the treatment I needed even though it was not her specialty and she did not treat the issue.

Dr. Gillespie and her complete office staff and nurses have been nothinh but FABULOUS. I have never received any snippy or hurried responses from them. They've always been very kind and considerate to me. They run a very efficient, prompt and calming atmosphere/office. There is no need for your nerves to start up here. Dr. Gillespie does take more than your average amount of time to truly listen to you and she is truly empathic to your medical needs. +Lab on premises in Chesterton.

Doesn't listen...not at all compassionate nor is she a good listener... maybe it's just me, but the worse doctor EVER.... going for a second opinion...
