Dr. Hazem Machkhas, MD

Dr. Machkhas is extremely knowledgeable in his area of medicine. Additionally, he is a very caring doctor. He goes out of his way to gather medical reasons for neurological symptoms.

I left my appointment very upset. I was extremely frustrated to say the least. Dr. Machkhas spent more time talking than listening. We "discussed" one of the many symptoms I've been experiencing for less than 5 minutes, then I was rushed out of the door with a prescription in hand. I went in with suspicions of a very serious issue (family history and multiple symptoms), but he never asked any questions about other symptoms. I cried in my car for 10 minutes because I felt so ignored. He didn't bother running one single test and was totally dismissive of my fears and concerns. I will not be returning to his office.

I have utmost respect for Dr. Machkhas, and I am disappointed when I see the negative reviews. He is intelligent, compassionate, and honest. He is straightforward and to the point, and I think some may take that the wrong way. I respect it, I don’t like beating around the bush. But most importantly his honesty is something that is admirable. If he sees something that doesn’t look right, he will not stay quiet about it. That is a characteristic many people need to have. He is a strong doctor and I trust him.

This doctor spent more time talking than listening, and rushed me out the door before hearing all of my concerns. I’ve found a much better neurologist with compassion and seemingly greater knowledge.

Wonderful doctor. All test are done in office! MRI, nerve test, x-rays, blood, everything! He listens and is there for you when needed. He also works at the hospital.

Dr. Machkhas and his staff were very helpful in managing my migraines during pregnancy. He was patient with questions, and thorough with explaining the plan of care and his rationale. He was also open to listening to my concerns. He also kept communicated back and forth with my ob to ensure everything was clear. His staff is easy to reach, and communicate my concerns to the doctor. I am a nurse and from my perspective, he is an excellent and competent neurologist. I recommend him to others.

I came to Dr. Machkhas upset about some symptoms I had been having. He took the time to really listen to me, was compassionate and patient throughout, and explained everything well. This doc is awesome!!
