Dr. Harvey Bluestein, MD

Dr. Bluestein and his staff, Diana, Irene at the front including nurse Ursula are exceptional professional and knowledgeable and kind. I was at the physician office and by chance talked to a women who had keloid removal from her neck by doctor Bluestein. She was very happy with the result. She showed me her neck and it looked great. We can not see any scar. I talked to the front desk of a vascular doctor and she told me how great Dr. Bluestein is. I made appointment with Dr. Bluestein for drain removal from my face down to my neck from the surgery oversea. He patiently listened and provided me with the honest feedback and procedure that he would perform on me. It made me feel certain that I am in a good hand I highly recommend Dr. Bluestein and you will love all the staff there as well.

I have had the honor of Dr Bluestein perform two procedures on me. (I am a nurse, and no , I've never worked with him. I only know him as a patient.) Dr Bluestein is an incredibly talented plastic surgeon. He's everything you can want in a surgeon. He's respectful, talented, detail oriented, explains everything a patient would need to know, and patiently answers your questions. Having dealt with many plastic surgeons as a nurse, I found Dr Bluestein to be one of the most "down to earth" plastic surgeons I have ever known, which is quite refreshing. More often than not, plastic surgeons are a bit full of themselves, and it often comes across in their attitude. ( perhaps deservedly , to a point) But not Dr. Bluestein. I would also like to mention that his office staff is extremely kind, pleasant and accommodating. I am so happy my primary doctor recommended him for my plastic surgery needs. I HIGHLY recommend him.

Highly recommend, great office environment, loved everyone there! Accommodating and very professional. Helped me figure out every insurance detail to get my surgery approved and fully covered. Scheduled a surgery date at Bridgeport hospital, process was literally seamless. My results are amazing, I couldn't be happier. And I am so glad that I went to Dr Bluestein for my surgery, he is definitely one of the best!

I am so pleased with my entire experience with Dr. Bluestein. He is truly talented, thorough and compassionate doctor. I recently had a plastic surgery procedure, an explant, to remove my breast implants along with the capsules. Dr. Bluestein was informative about every step of the process. He took the time to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns before the operation. During the procedure and with after-care, I felt like his entire staff truly cared about my comfort and well-being. Thanks to his great work and instructions, my recovery time has been a lot easier than I anticipated. I cannot say enough great things about his practice and would recommend him for any kind of cosmetic, plastic or reconstructive surgery without any hesitation.

My experience with this office has been horrendous. I went to Dr Bluestein about 3+ months ago to have a growth by my eye looked at. Fast forward 3 mo and after at least 8 phone calls between my insurance company and the office, I can’t get a cost because nothing they’ve given me has made any sense at all to the insurance company. That’s honestly not a deal though. What will prevent me from ever using him is the story my wife just told me about her visit to his office. She went today to get stitches she got over the weekend looked at and he was extremely rude, impatient, dismissive and physically aggressive. He asked her if she has make up on and she said yes, but not by the cut. He rolled his eyes, left the room to get a makeup wipe and SCRUBBED her face until she had to pull away to remove makeup that wasn’t there. I’m absolutely disgusted by Dr Bluestein and I believe he owes my wife an apology. He may be an ok doctor, but after listening to my wife, he is not a good man.

I cannot say enough great things about this office. My 1 y/o daughter needed facial stitches, and the entire staff (from receptionist to surgeon) was PHENOMENAL from check in, procedure, and follow up. Everyone was extremely friendly, nice, and professional, and I'm pretty sure we were in and out in under 45 minutes. I'm sure I will be back in the future as I have two sons as well. HIGHLY recommended.

Dr. Bluestein has done three procedures for me. Each one he handled with incredible skill and great results. He has a very quiet manner which is such a nice contrast to many of the area's pompous doctors. Contrary to the comment made in the review, Dr. Bluestein does have a nice dry sense of humor which he uses appropriately. Would you really want Don Rickles doing your Plastic Surgery? I highly recommend him.

Dr Bluestein reversed a pitiful condition I had after breast surgery. I presented with a severe allergic reaction to an implant placed during a masectomy with reconstruction at Stamford Hospital. The implant encapsulated and had to be removed. The original surgeon affiliated with Stamford Hospital refused the re-do surgery. He feared not being paid by Medicare. Dr Bluestein seeing that I was in distress took a leap of faith and did the corrective procedure. My eternal thanks.

Thank god for such a talented and incredible Doctor. I nearly severed my thumb and he miraculously reconnected the it, along with tendons and nerves. Dr. Bluestein is a serious man and takes excellent care of his patients. I read a comment or two about his "bedside manners" -it is crap and an unfair comment. Do you want a doctor who will brilliantly fix your issues or a doctor who tells jokes? For me, I choose Dr. Bluestein. Also, his office staff are fantastic and kind and caring. He is great!
