Personal patient care
Dr. Plunkett personally saw me for both recent a post-op follow-up and routine follow-up rather than sending a PA. Additionally, prior to my last rhizotomy while waiting for the OR to open up, Dr. Plunkett came to see me and take me to the OR. My wife was with me, she is a career medical professional, and she was greatly impressed by Dr. Plunkett's personal care, she's rarely seen that happen, she said, 'Wow! That never happens. He's treating you like you're a VIP, he's giving you one-on-one attention for a routine part of the pre-op process normally delegated to the nursing staff.'Today, I had a problem with my pharmacy not having my normal pain medication in stock. When he sent the escribe to another pharmacy with the medication available, my insurance pushed-back demanding a prior authorization, then denying it, but eventually approving an expedited appeal. He and his wonderful assistant, Jack, went above and beyond to make this happen.
