Dr. Harold Stites III, MD

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Stites. He is my 3rd cardiologist; the first two physicians focused on minimally reducing symptoms by over-medicating versus addressing the underlying cause of my issues. In contrast, Dr. Stites took the time to thoroughly investigate my condition, accurately diagnose the root of the problem, and recommend a procedure to treat and resolve the issue. I highly recommend him for anyone seeking a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to their heart health.

A few months ago I started having problems with light headedness, dizziness, and lack of energy. It was interfering in my life significantly, and I was referred by my FP doctor to Dr. Stites. I met with his practitioner first, who gather information and set up initial testing. I then met with Dr. Stites who recommended a pacemaker. I am very happy with all of my interactions with him. I am the type of guy who likes to understand what is going on with my healthcare, and when I asked direct questions he was very forthcoming and explained things so I understood. He spent time with me to make me comfortable with my procedure, and on the day that we did it all went well. It's now one week post-procedure, and my life is MUCH better, and it continues to improve daily as I get accustomed to my new pacemaker. I am very pleased that Dr. Stites chooses to practice at Saint Francis Medical center, and that he is my physician.

I’m quite impressed with Dr Stites, both by his knowledge/expertise and his genuine, caring attitude. He’s my 6th cardiologist, and already my favorite. He listens AND explains issues extraordinarily well.

He’s a great physician but frequently seems distracted during my visit. Typed on computer the whole time. Did not listen to my heart during my visit. Answered all my questions & clearly explained my treatment options.

Dr. Stites spent time with me explaining thoroughly my condition and upcoming procedure and was very friendly. His nursing staff was very courteous and helpful as well. Very little wait time fir my appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Stites and the staff at St. Francis Medical Center.

Excellent care!

The care I received in St Francis was excellent. My night nurse Andrew (Drew) and my day RN and CNA gave excellent care. They were all very knowledgeable and attentive. They made my stay of six days as comfortable as they could. I am very grateful. Dr Stites ran the show and made the best decision for my health.

As always he gave excellent professional services and took time to explain things to me.

He is another great person and doctor. I’ll alway pass his name on to people. So far all of my staff and nurses took very good care of me while I was in there care. St. Francis is the best. Thanks

Dr. Stites performed two procedures on me November 2021. Ablation and micra pacemaker. I have done extremely well. No more Afib. I found Dr. Stites to be very thorough in my office visits with him. He was very knowledgeable and took lots of time to draw diagrams and showing me exactly what my heart issues were. Very polite, positive and kind. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is having heart issues, Don’t settle for anyone but the best when it comes to your health. Dr. Stites is your doctor if you want the best.

Dr Stites is an amazing cardiologist! Today my husband had an appointment, because he was turned down from having an elective surgery, because of what his EKG showed. He was referred back to his cardiologist, Dr. Stites. He determined by looking at the patterns of his pace maker, that in December Gary's heart begin to flutter. Today, sitting in that office we saw Dr. Stites along with his RN, Eric reset the pacemaker to take care of the flutter in my husband. It was like being in the middle of an operating room and seeing a miracle happen. The man that had not been able to do anything went to the store, came home a made dinner, and it was delicious!!!
