Dr. Harold Chung, MD

My fiancee and I were nervous. I was just told of my diagnosis and that transplant was the only thing to cure it. We showed up and greeted by a wonderful staff after parking through valet parking. The clinic was clean and everyone was so friendly. Dr. Chung and one of his scribes came in and introduced himself and the scribe. He was very warm and friendly. We talked for a bit before getting in to my history. I was shocked... no symptoms and now looking at something that could be fatal. Dr Chung assured me there were treatment options and I would not need transplant for some time now but his team did the testing, I met with one of his coordinators and we left feeling assured we were in good hands. I was in the waiting room waiting for another physician when Dr. Chung saw me and came up to me. He had transplanted me over 15 years ago and still remembered me. I remember him... very compassionate, patient, and went out of his way to make sure I understood the process. He and his team got me through a very rough spell there years ago.

It was a very long consult, and for that I am very grateful. My wife were very, very nervous about the transplant process and we thought we had read enough about it, which in turn made us even more nervous. Dr. Chung took the time to explain everything to us and we felt much more at ease. I know that the transplant process is not going to be quick or easy, but Dr. Chung certainly made me feel much more at ease. And so does my wife.
