Dr. Veedu's License Should Be Revoked
Dr. Veedu is an absolute nightmare. He is dismissive, uncooperative, and utterly lacks empathy. His primary concern seems to be making money, as he avoids any meaningful communication when I try to reach out for help. He refused to sign essential disability forms, leaving me without the crucial support I need, and continues to bury me with unnecessary medical bills. Avoid him at all costs if you value your health, well-being, and finances.

Go anywhere else
My daughter was referred to Dr Veedu after a Chiari malformation was found on imaging. He confirmed the diagnosis but told her she’s just suffering from a migraine disorder and she wasn’t a good candidate for decompression surgery. Prescribed a ton of medications and scheduled visits with her every three months for “evaluation.” We got a second opinion from another neurologist and she was rushed to UCLA neurosurgery. She was one of the worst Chiari patients they’ve seen in a while. If it wasn’t for the second opinion, Dr Veedu would have sentenced my daughter to constant suffering just so his office could bill her insurance. He doesn’t care about his patients in the slightest. Treated my daughter like she was making up her symptoms and had zero sympathy for a young girl being so debilitated she couldn’t even walk. Proceed with caution and PLEASE get a second opinion. Your health is not his concern, just his job.

The worst
I had to see Dr. Veedu when my regular doctor was unexpectedly unavailable. I was kept waiting in the lobby far longer than normal and then was kept waiting in the exam room for about 45 minutes (the lights went out on me twice!) and I had to go out to find someone to make sure I hadn't been forgotten. Once Dr. Veedu finally made it into the exam room, he said that the course of treatment that I had been trying was useless and interrupted me several times when I tried to explain why I wanted to continue to give it time to work (something that my regular doctor and I had already discussed and agreed on). He seemed to come into the room already knowing the *one* cause for my symptoms and only offering *one* solution (i.e., medication). He had no interest in understanding my history or listening to and addressing any of my concerns or questions.

Negligent Care
Absolutely horrible care. Didn’t listen to a single thing I said and didn’t take me seriously in the slightest. Denied me disability even though i’m still having uncontrolled seizures 3 months later. Dismissive, inattentive, interrupting, careless doctor that just wants money. Did not warn me of a deadly rash caused by my medication. 10/10 suggest finding a new neurologist.

Horrible Doctor – Aug 05, 2022

Dr Veedu is great. You don't find an epileptologist around with his knowledge and experience with seizure disorders. I HIGHLY recommend anyone with a history of seizures to make an appt with Dr Veedu. He is the Babe Ruth of epilepsy doctors.

Dr. Veedu may be one of the least caring, communicatively incompetent health care "professionals" I have ever dealt with during a condition that plagued me for multiple years. The sheer lack of absorption of information he attempts to gather from you begs the question: does he lack ability, or care? Every single visit with him was riddled with interruptions, false assumptions, and repeated questions. It is so bad, in fact, that on our THIRD consultation, he was surprised to "learn" that my condition involved pain. It physically infuriates me how uncaring a healthcare professional can be, and it breaks my heart to think that there will be patients unknowingly receiving sub-par and effortless treatment that may lead to the prolonging of their conditions. If it is within your power, find a better neurologist. Drive if you have to. TL;DR: Low effort and nonexistent attention and care lead to me recommending about anyone else.

Acceptable care until prior authorization was needed for my treatment by insurance. They refuse to complete the proper paperwork and have abandoned me completely leaving me with zero care. The office was dismissive and completely indifferent, and their negligence has caused my suffering.

Doesn't care about anything but money from patients. Won't even fill out forms for unemployment or disabilities for epilepsy or to clear you from dmv

We had a conciliation with Dr. Veedu for the first time yesterday, and after 3 years of my husband dealing with life altering medical issues we may finally know what is going on. He is an amazing Dr, and we are looking to working with him.

Dr. Veedu is an incredible doctor. Before I was referred to him I had no idea the true nature of my epilepsy. His specialty in this area has made living with epilepsy something I can understand and control with the proper meds. He educates his patients so that each of us can feel we are involved in our own care and not just having meds thrown at us. He's the best doctor that's come to Bakersfield in years. He also has connected us to doctors @USC who now see his patients regularly.

Saw this physician once because I needed to establish with a new local neurologist for management of multiple sclerosis. He was disorganized, vague, contradictory. He's clearly not up to date on protocol and had the nerve to contradict thorough workup and treatment protocol recommendations from one of the best MS specialists in Southern California. He may know how to treat epilepsy. Beware that his scope of practice is quite limited. Would definitely not recommend this man.
