Dr. Hari Bogabathina, MD

Dr. B is one of the few doctors that still care about patients and doesn’t rush you out the door with a handful of prescriptions. He actually listened and I felt overwhelmed with joy, that I finally found a Doctor I trusted with my healthcare.

My husband, who had triple bypass 5 years ago at the age of 40, came to the hospital with severe chest pain, chest tightening and shortness of breath. We were first told by another Dr. that he was having a heart attack. Then Dr. Bogabathina told us it wasn’t. When Dr. Bogathina came by to consult we were asking questions to try and understand what happened. Not only did he not answer our questions but Dr. Bogathina was rude, abrupt, condescending and rushing to get out of the room. He told us to expect no chest pain was unrealistic, he can’t fix my husband’s issues and we are welcome to find another cardiologist. He was offended that we were asking questions trying to understand what triggered the episode that had symptoms of a heart attack. We were told that Dr. B is new to Our Lady of Lourdes network. We requested a 2nd opinion and another cardiologist, who will take the time to answer simple questions so we can understand my husband’s condition and get next steps for treatment.

My visit lasted less than 5 minutes. I’d never met this doctor before, and expected minimally an EKG, blood work, and general conversation. Instead, doctor was condescending, made assumptions about my diet, spoke rudely, and told me to come back in a month to check my blood pressure. I’ll do my checks at home, even though I was not asked to. I’m just blown away by his attitude. I did mention it to his office staff.
