Dr. Van Lancker fixed my kneecap. He put a Patella Suture plate around the kneecap that has a bunch of screws. After seeing the X-Ray of my knee of the surgery he did I felt more comfortable that it was going to work. It looks more secure than before because he had the right tools for what really needed to be done. They put a better knee mobilizer on so my knee doesn’t move easy. I am glad that I had a surgeon the second time who knows what they are doing and was meant to be a surgeon. Not just in it for the money.

I broke my ankle!! More specifically, I sustained a displaced, comminuted fracture of the distal fibula and tore the syndesmosis. On an emergency basis, Dr. Van Lancker performer "open reduction and internal fixation" to shore up the fibula, and installed two Arthrex tightropes to stabilize the syndesmosis and ensure proper mortise alignment. 12 weeks later and I am "like new." I am a middle-aged male, but very active. I work out a ton and ride road and mountain bikes obsessively. I am back to doing everything 100%. Cleary Dr. Van Lancker did everything just right in the operating room, or else I would not have such a good outcome, given that the injury was pretty serious. The larger team is also top notch, with a shout out to Shannon Sage, PA who was there in the operating room and helped take care of me before and after the procedure.

I have had several broken bones in my life and at one point , a different trauma- orthopedic doctor for different injuries years ago. Dr. Van Lancker is extraordinary in his surgical skills, areas of expertise, and he is very thorough. It is also very clear he genuinely cares about his patients and treats them with integrity ! Dr. Van Lancker has my five stars ! In addition, his Physician Assistants are also outstanding, and everyone in his office seem to give exceptional care and service .

Calm, cool, and collected- just what you want in a surgeon. The added bonus was his compassion and willingness to answer any and all questions, despite his undoubtedly busy schedule as a trauma surgeon. If you're unlucky enough to need a trauma surgeon, I can't recommend Dr. Van Lancker highly enough. My surgery was flawless, my symptoms have quickly resolved, and he personally followed up with me after surgery. 10/10.

On 2/6/16 my husband was transported from Cape Cod Hospital ER to Brigham and Womens ER to repair a complicated fracture of the femur. There was concern that my husband would have to wait until the nect day for this emergency surgery but Dr. Van L. found the time to do the surgery. Now, 60 days later, husband is doing really well. Dr. Van Lancker is very chill and reassuring. And did a great job. Thank you!
