sets the bar for patient care
Dr. Irie is the best kind of doctor possible—obviously her resume speaks for itself, but as a human being, she has guided me in decision-making filtered through the lens of a thoughtful human being. Yes, she's brilliant and will answer every question I have about my disease to the best of her knowledge, but she has also advocated for me when other doctors on my team dropped the ball. The hardest part of the cancer journey was realizing that I ultimately needed to make the decisions —and I appreciated having her insight and opinions as I navigated that process.

Dr. Irie is the person you want to lead your team when you are facing triple negative breast cancer. No one knows more about this disease & how to manage it. She gives you her full attention, answers every question & doesn't get impatient. She gives you time. She is warm and caring and clear but she can go very, very deep into the topic if you want her to. She came in from vacation to do an exam. She spent an hour discussing an imaging result with the head of radiology. She is the best.
