Dr. Halla Moussa, MD

Dr. Moussa is excellent with people with special needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder). Her calming demeanor and ability to understand what is being communicated by her patients with autism is key in working past these patients’ core deficits (e.g., rigidity, social communication, etc.) and unraveling what ails them. Our youngest daughter has level 1 ASD so I have seen this first hand. For our daughter handling and accepting is difficult. She will perseverate on anything associated with changing (e.g., her diet, exercise, medication) Dr. Moussa has been able to accurately identify what is bothering my daughter, address it, put my daughter at ease, and carry on with making a diagnosis and treatment.

The most striking trait Dr. Moussa carries is her expression of genuine concern for the patient. This was helpful in putting us at ease during our family’s most difficult and frightful medical times; brain lesions signaling multiple sclerosis for our eldest daughter. Her demeanor, medical knowledge, communication skills enabled her to explain medical facts in a manner that was easy to grasp and enabled us to remain calm. All questions were answered before we had a chance to ask them. We moved forward with what we needed to do without being overcome with anxiety that had the potential of causing us to make poor decisions. Guided to world renown specialists in the field, it was affirmed that Dr. Moussa was absolutely correct in becoming concerned and the medical decisions she made were warranted.

Excellent diagnosis and patient care

I had some issues communicating with the nurse but they have been resolved.

Anyone that complains about her has never been to an arrogant non-caring jerk. She is the best I ever had, people just like to complain . Don’t listen to them. You will like her.

She doesn't like if you ask questions, you are just supposed to do as she says and move on. Acts impatient if anything is questioned. My reccomendation is to NOT go to her.

Love the doctor, hate the nurse. The nurse will not call patients back if the have questions or concerns. Office staff is rude when questioning about nurses lack of response. A patient needs a physican that can be reached in a timely manner when needed.
