After scheduling and then rescheduling my first colonoscopy here, which I was nervous about, I called with some questions to the head nurse (questions I found on a NYT article on questions to ask your gastroenterologist before getting a colonoscopy). Like, how often does Dr. Buch get to the end of the colon during his procedures? What is his miss rate (ie, people who screen negative for CRC on a colonoscopy who had CRC)? How often do perforations occur? The head nurse didn't have all the answers to my questions, but she was extremely thoughtful and even suggested that I postpone my colonoscopy to ask these questions of other practices to get a better idea of how Dr. Buch compares. When later I surmised that Dr. Buch's practice looked OK to me despite not getting all the answers to my questions, I called to reschedule but was informed that owing to my questions, Dr. Buch did not want to give me a colonoscopy. I was disappointed and confused. I wouldn't have cancelled my colonoscopy if I

Trusted Doctor
I have had endoscopies and colonoscopies for years with Dr. Buch. I have never had an issue with his skills, knowledge, kindness, and care. He has a busy practice, to me it is an indication of patient satisfaction, and as waiting may be a frustration, it is worth the care. When your procedure is completed, no matter how busy his schedule, he explains your results, and he inquires if you have any questions. He takes the time to discuss any concerns you may have. I am very particular about my medical ‘team’ and would not have the comfort level to have a procedure with any other doctor.

The secretary staff are airheads. The DR refuses to speak to any patients about test results, he has an non medically knowledgeable secretary call with results who said she googles things on Mayo Clinic! I was never diagnosed but was given several types of random prescriptions! Go elsewhere

I have been a patient for over 10 years. I find Dr. Buch to be outstanding, caring and skilled in my endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures which he and staff performed perfectly. His staff is talented and friendly. Dr. Buch deserve 6 stars at least in my opinion.

Although this list says he treats IBS, he does not. His staff will send And Internet article with missing pages about FODMAPS. The office has a chop shop feel and you don't get any FaceTime with the doctor. His nurse and staff are excellent I would give them five stars but I went there in excruciating IBS pain a month ago and they told me to go to the emergency room. That doesn't work for IBS. The results of my endoscopy were left on my answering machine no follow up appointment available.

Experience with Marissa was fine. Endoscopy was fine. Working with reception staff is AWFUL. They are rude, insensitive and talk down to you. What a shame. Also, thinking I was making an appointment with the doctor and then ending up speaking with an assistant was a surprise to say the least.

It is impossible to get in touch with someone in their office. They say that their phones are on from 9am to 5pm but 9 out of 10 times you get a recording saying that their office is currently closed. Forget trying to deal with billing. That lady is never in the office and she's rude if she does call you back. I like Dr. Buch himself but he better get is office staff under control.
