Dr. Nawaz is caring, competent and kind.

Dr. Nawaz is a kind, considerate, extremely knowledgeable doctor. She asks questions and she listens to our responses. As husband and wife, she is happy to have us both in the exam room with her so that together we can monitor the information she gives us. That is extremely helpful after the visit since one of us is likely to remember one thing, while the other was focused on another.Her staff is wonderful too. They are superb at providing all associated services including helping find specialists in our area or booking appointments. They are also responsive to renewing prescriptions when necessary. We highly recommend Dr. Nawaz and her staff.

I don’t understand the 1 star reviews. They are not describing the Dr Nawaz I’ve known and been seeing for over a decade. She first became my PCP when she worked for West Haven Medical Group. I was so impressed by her professionalism, medical knowledge, and bedside manner that I followed her when she ventured out into her own practice. She wants to know you as a whole person. She loves hearing about what’s going on in your life. It’s like talking with a friend. But most importantly she an incredibly smart and knowledgeable doctor that balances her knowledge with common sense. So she won’t send you for a bunch of unnecessary testing just to confirm what she already knows. I have a lot of health issues. I’ve quite literally trusted this doctor with my life and she always makes the right calls but knows when to refer to specialists. Out of all my doctors, she’s my favorite!! Only negative: because it’s just her and an Aprn, it’s sometimes hard to get same day appts

What stood out to me is the time and care Dr. Nawaz has taken with me. If something needs to be addressed she doesn't waste any time contacting you with next steps. She is direct and honest yet with passion and grace. It is also a cool that she knows my naturopath doctor, too.

At first I liked Dr. Nawaz. After going to her for a physical I lost trust in her. She removed my eye make up with rubbing alcohol which of course burned. Then she proceeded to perform my breast exam over my bra. I procrastinated finding a new primary care doctor. In desperation, I saw her again for something I was avoiding being seen. She asked me why I hadn't seen a specialist. I replied, I needed a referral and I was embarrassed. She was SO rude. She told me that was stupid and that was completely ridiculous. I left her office in tears. Then she referred me to the WRONG kind of specialist for my issue.

I recently underwent my annual physical with Dr. Nawaz; as usual, it was a positive experience. The receptionist, who is always pleasant, greeted me by name, and the nurse, who was meeting me for the first time, introduced herself with genuine friendliness, leaving a great first impression. The overall atmosphere of the practice is friendly and professional. Dr. Nawaz addressed my questions and concerns attentively and gave suggestions for preventative care, insights into lifestyle factors, and practical advice for maintaining a healthy way of life! She devoted ample time to our consultation. After completing the exam, Dr. Namaw said I was all set and could schedule my next annual appointment but remarked, “I am always here,” emphasizing her dedication to patient care. I feel valued as her patient. Based on my consistently positive experiences, I sincerely recommend this healthcare provider to anyone seeking high-quality medical care.

Dr. Nawaz always seems to have time to spend talking, explaining, listening (very important). She is very thorough and cares about the welfare of her patients. She answers messages and follows up on questions. I am so happy I found her! I would recommend her highly.

I went in to see Dr. Nawaz looking for a new PCP. She was extremely dismissive of my existing health issues and informed me that she doesn’t do any paperwork at all, like for FMLA or accommodations or anything, and she refused to take me on as a patient. How can you be a PCP and not do paperwork for your patients if they get injured or sick and need medical time off work? Overall she came off as kinda rude and very dismissive and seems to only want to accept healthy patients.

I cannot say enough about Dr Nawaz and her office staff. Dr Nawaz delivers a level of care that I had not experienced before with my previous PCPs. Both her and her staff are thorough and attentive. All you hope for in a medical team.

Dr. Nawaz is so professional, understanding and very knowledgeable. I personally followed her for years now. When she moved out of her old practice, I followed her to her new practice! She is worth every penny of my copay!

Dr. Nawaz has been my internist for over 10 years through several of my surgeries and medical conditions. Besides her medical knowledge, she's so caring & patient, and she's always willing to talk about my concerns.

Dr. Nawaz always takes time with her patients. She never makes me feel like she is rushing through the visit. Besides inquiring about you health she will be interested in your day to day interactions. Dr. Nawaz is professional, personable, knowledgeable, and most of all caring.

I have been with doctor Nawaz for almost 3 years,she is an excellent doctor very patient I never felt rushed with my visits-explains every thing to you very calming,very careing easy to talk to. Also has a great staff at her office,so glad I was referred to her. Patti Carlino East Haven

Wonderful atmosphere and everyone was nice!

During my first few appointments with Dr Nawaz I found her very helpful and would listen and would not rush me. She had no qualms about refilling existing prescriptions as I was a new patient. The next few appointments I had were drastically different. I am used to getting a lecture about my health problems but I did not expect to be made to feel ashamed for them. She was also reluctant to refill some of my existing prescriptions that she had known I was on during my first visit. I left in tears.

Over the past few years I have observed Dr Nawaz with patients having special needs. Infact, at my first appointment I observed a very calm and respectful interaction. As a retired SpEd teacher, of 32 yrs, who worked with children on the Autism spectrum, of various ages, I recognize it is important to help those who are willing but without knowledge, learn how that individual best responds to new and/ or stressful interactions. Dr Nawaz like many, needed direction. I'm sure it is exhausting, but educating them helps everyone. She is not judgmental, willing to learn and very calm, as well as an excellent physician.

She doesn't know how to deal w autism patients

Everyone was very pleasant. Dr. Nawaz spent a lot of time didn't feel rushed and answered all questions.

Dr Nawaz is awesome!! She's the best doctor I've been to and she actually cares. She's a beautiful woman inside and out
