Chronic mid-level performance from Dr and ARNPs
We have been going to Dr. Vasquez and his team of practitioners for a few years. Best thing I can say is they do the basic requirement of the job. However, don't expect anything exceptional. We have had more success solving our various medical concerns by going to specialists and problem-solving on our own. Which may be what you want from your PCP. If you don't want or need your PCP to help you navigate any remotely complicated medical concerns and just need someone to refill your Rx's come see Dr. Vasquez and his ARNPs. Come to think of it, not sure if we have ever even met Dr. Vasquez. My family literally left an appointment an hour ago and were made to feel like coming in was a waste of their (the ARNP'S) time.

never see him
I am sure nurse practitioners are all the rage but I schedule to be seen by a medical doctor; I pay for a medical doctor. I am only seen by a bubbly nurse telling me everything is great.

Common courtesy requires that patients should at least be greeted by name especially during office visits when patients are generally somewhat ill at ease. He makes no eye contact and may be good physician but could work on people skills......... patient is just numbers on latest bloodwork chart. Always appears to be hurried.

He knows what he is doing so try to accept his sometimes and somewhat distant manner because he is probably concentrating on your case. Dr. Vasquez knows what he is doing. We want his knowledge and decisions and this ain't a social occasion. I have been seeing him since 2016. Let's remember that few of us have a job so challenging.

While Dr. Vasquez can sometimes appear a bit distant or stand offish, I would highly recommend him as a PCP. Of all the PCPs I have had as an adult, he has been the most knowledgeable and will order needed detailed tests beyond which most PCPs will. If you value straightforward, honest, and detailed evals and are less concerned about superficial charm that does nothing for your health, he is a great choice. While not rude, his time is limited by pt volume and the demands of medical charting.

I have a couple reasons, but the most recent reason for giving one star is because the last time I went to see him, For sharp wrist pain, I had a few questions. After finishing the second question, I began a third question. As I began to ask he interrupted me impatiently saying “How many questions do you have? You have already asked two.” I was really taken aback! And the last time I checked, Dr. Vasquez was being paid for his medical advice!
