ow New Dr Decastro is highly skilled and super intelligent. We met with him 3x in person to discuss my dad’s surgery. He listens well and answers all your questions. He performed a 4 hour laproscopic nephroureterectomy on my 92 1/2 year old dad. yes 93 in June , however, my dad had extensive testing for clearance. The surgery was a success . My dad is still recuperating and did a 4 night stay due to his age. I highly recommend Dr. Decastro

Urology visit of 15 minutes. He didn’t do the basic test that shows how well the bladder is emptying. Charged $600.

Not a pleasant visit. Condescending and arrogant. Looks at you as if you are dumb when asking straight forward questions and zero empathy towards patients. Stay away if possible.

I happened to make the appointment with Dr. DeCastro before I read the reviews here and was a bit concerned about what my experience would be, but both him and his team were excellent. He listened attentively to what I had to say and explained very clearly the next steps in my course of care. I’ve also seen other good reviews for him so I’d say don’t discount him over a few disgruntled patients.

The 1st two respondents (1 star ratings) must have seen an impostor. Dr. Decastro is one of the most compassionate and personable doctors I have ever had. His concern and responsiveness during my three bouts with cancer have been consistently attentive.

I wouldn't recommend Dr Decastro to anyone, he's arrogant, rude and has the worst bedside manner I've ever experienced.

I visited Dr. DeCastro more than 40 times since 2012 for treatment of bladder cancer. Annual scopes and pathology show no signs of cancer. He is an excellent urological surgeon specializing in bladder cancer. He takes time to explain condition and treatment plan. Excellent credentials, trustworthy and competent. Went to Sloan for second opinion and would not go back. Very thorough and professional.
