I had a deeply disappointing experience with Dr. Weiss. His erroneous clinical documentation drastically misrepresented my challenges and experiences. In this documentation, he stated that I had done something in particular for “most of [my] life,” when in fact, the correct time frame is under 5 years, out of my 35 years of age. Additionally, he completely disregarded established diagnoses and failed to take the time to understand my background before making such a decision. One particularly concerning issue was that he applied a diagnosis to me without truly understanding my experiences and without sufficient information to warrant the diagnosis. He also suspected another diagnosis based on misinformation in his documentation, which read as a fictional novel introduction rather than documentation that was actually about me. Overall, this felt like a gross oversimplification and distortion of my life experiences. After sending a neutral message to Dr. Weiss, letting him know I would no longer seek his services, I was shocked to receive a letter banning me from the entire practice. The reason provided was that other providers could better serve me, which contradicted what Dr. Weiss had told me during our first and final session, where he mentioned that he intended to meet with me again to learn more about me. It is painfully obvious that his parting statements and rationale in the letter do not align. Most unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Weiss left me feeling that he lacked accountability and professionalism. I advise great caution, particularly for individuals who are autistic or neurodivergent, as his approach may not be suitable for you.

Sadly, Dr. Weiss was not in the least helpful to me. His attention to my issues was essentially non existent, and his diagnosis extreme, if not flawed. I have since begun therapy with a psychiatrist out of this area which has been quite helpful.

I have seen Dr Weiss for years, and he has great intentions. However, he needs to work on his interpersonal communication skills. He is a bit of a know-it-all - just ask him :) If he wants to build stronger bonds with his patients, he should consider listening more, talking less & not over explaining things so he can flex his educational muscles. People like to be heard - especially when they are paying for it :) Again, not bad, may be great for some, but I am going to look for someone else
