Failed to review planned procedure notes
This is my second colonoscopy with Dr. Munson. We had several email conversations just prior to my colonoscopy concerning microscopic colitis. He said he would take biopsies of my colon during the procedure to check for microscopic colitis. However, he failed to take any biopsies during the procedure. When questioned why he didn't take the biopsies he said it was an isolated incident and had done over 13K procedures and never forgotten to take biopsies. He then suggested I could repeat the procedure or do a sigmoidoscopy. I declined due to the stress fullness of either procedure. After more discussion he suggested I go back to taking Budesonide. When I picked up the prescription the directions said to take 3 capsules per day for 30 days then tapper. Tapper to what? He did tell me the directions on the phone but I don't remember what the directions were nor should I have to. I have had many colonoscopies with my previous doctor and never had any problems like this.
